Whenever I call I always hope to speak the friendliest receptionist at Grays surgery, she tops all receptionists I know as she is always helpful and I cannot fault her in anyway she has a friendly attitude. There should be more of her as patients’ experience with GP practices will be whole lot better.

I have not visited the surgery recently but have had several telephone and email conversations. I am still trying to resolve an issue that has been going on since last September. I have provided information, and still cannot get an answer. I feel very let down.

Dear Sonia. Thank you for leaving a review. I am very sorry to hear you were kept waiting for your appointment. At times, due to unforeseen circumstances a surgery may run late, but reception staff should always offer patients an apology and an explanation and I apologise if that did not happen. If you have an other concerns, I would be happy to discuss them with with a view to resolving them. Once again thank you for taking the time to leave a comment

I was kept waiting for over half an hour for my appointment with the nurse. When I finally got to her she had obviously been eating and had no idea who I was and what I was there for. She then called me by the name of the baby due after me. I was then informed by her that I couldn’t have my smear as I was too early. The reason I was called for my smear too soon was due to a text message from yourselves telling me I was due. I have now been told that because I don’t have the letter from Cervical Screening ( I must of thrown it away by accident) I have to wait for a reminder letter which I will get after 18 weeks. This will then make me overdue. This is all completely unacceptable as I fail to see why I can’t then make an appointment nearer the time I am due (April). Why is the letter so important when I wasn’t told I needed it when I came to my appointment?? Surely there is a record of the letter somewhere on the system? Ultimately this whole sorry saga is based on a mistake made at the surgery but to my detriment.
