    I get a great service when I visit my Doctors and Nurses. They show great care and concern about my health and well being. I get my medication on time and reviews are good.

    11/04/2023- I’m constantly told to ring at 8am.. I ring at 8am for it to say user busy (I have taken a photo today). Then I get through at 8.02am I’m already caller number 16 at this point. I hold until the call gets answered at 8.34/8.35am only to be told that there’s no appts left. Why are you telling me to ring at 8am if this is the case? *This happens everytime* to the point where I just think leave it and my problem just persists. I’ve been with this GP for years and now considering changing GP as this is the worst they have ever been. Before there was an e consult which is no longer available (they’ll probably reply by saying it is - it’s not I’ve been trying this - look it into it). My appt is now for Thursday after having a strop with the receptionist (I apologise as it’s not her fault). This is how people will end up with conditions deteriorating or even worse because GP doesn’t want to know. And no, I was not in a position to be able to attend at 8am today.

    Today for the first time I had to speak to the GP and I can’t believe how rude the doctor was, waited for this appointment for over a week my phone call was scheduled between 11:00-13:00 but she called at 09:22, she sounded like she was angry that I have answered the phone , I couldn’t explain anything because she literally said “ I don’t want to hear about that “ her tone was so rude and unbothered I felt so bad like I’m taking too much of her time so I quickly explained and she just said “ next time you find out what you want before you call “. The conversation lasted just under 5 minutes and I didn’t even speak about the issue I’ve been having because I was too scared to speak. I understood that she might be really busy so I didn’t say anything on the phone call.I also know that making a complaint will not change anything because I would probably speak to someone who would make you feel guilty for even wanting to speak to the doctor.

    I rang the doctors today at 8.20am and yesterday at 8.10am. Both times held for half an hour to be told no appointments available. I understand that I should have rang bang on 8am, but it just says user busy. I can’t turn up to the surgery since I’m coughing my guts out and I’m sure it’s not very hygienic. Anyways advised to ring 111, who referred me back to the surgery for an appt within the next day. Rang the surgery to be told to ring at 8am and the next available appt is next week. I’m actually laughing because it’s so silly. And no I won’t be going to A&e and wasting resources.

    For nearly 4 days straight I’ve been trying to contact and it says line busy due to my condition I cannot currently leave the house and need to speak to a doctor what am I supposed to do it’s a joke

We are currently experiencing increased demand on our telephone lines and our care navigation team has been working very hard to answer calls under the additional pressure. I recognise that difficulties in accessing the Practice can be extremely frustrating for our patients and I apologise unreservedly for any upset or inconvenience.     Following two nasty falls in Dec 2021 and Jan 2022, I was in extreme pain. I was provided with really good pain relief and had regular advice and support from the Practice. I have damaged ligaments in my back which unfortunately cannot be repaired but I have now been prescribed super pain relief and bone protection and cannot thank you enough!
