    My experience of this surgery has always been positive. The reception staff are always helpful and the clinical staff are great. Like any other organisation, there are occasional glitches but given the pressures the NHS is under, this practice does a brilliant job. Thank you!

    I have received a message about an appointment in some place??? with a doctor whose name is not on a list of South Lewisham practice without telling me where I suppose to find this doctor.

    I have two very unwell daughters. They need my (mother's) support on answering calls, filling forms and etc. We filled very emotionally difficult form to get the appointment, stating dates when we can't be together on the appointment. The appointment was given exactly on that they when I could not be with her. Second: my daughter asked medical proof for PIP application. It was promised will be sent- nothing sent. Now we again were filling emotionally affecting long form to get another appointment to get that medical proof,medication review and the further health investigation. (Friday). The appointment was promised by text message with no particular date. Today is a Thursday and our extended PIP application deadline is in few days. I am calling to South Lewisham gp, it is number 30 again waiting on with that music on and on. Also I have a constant difficulty filling a long emotionally affecting form to get an appointment, and it suddenly disappears online with all important sympthom information with no saved copy, stating that they will come back at 2pm. But time is lost, daughter greatly affected and no result. This "slow management system" is definitely slow and not working. With all my respect and great need: Can this be faster, as nobody wants to go to doctors, just only when patients are critical or in urgent need. Thanks for understanding and taking care of people's wellbeing

    Attended for nurse appointment on 6th November, at 10.00am. At 10.30am, went to check at the reception, about the delay, only to be told that the nurse had not turned up. Made another appointment. Hope there will be nurse on shift.

    I was obliged to call at the surgery today and queued at reception for about 20 minutes. This was to chase a prescription that was ordered a week before. I was informed that it was decided that it was 'non urgent'. Who made such a decision and on what grounds? I had been chasing this prescription for three days. All the chemist could tell me was that it had gone through to the surgery and they awaited it being signed off. I am really disappointed in the dreadful level of service now evident. I am reasonably computer literate but the website is very difficult to navigate and I struggled to get to this page.

    Dear Jennifer Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. I am sorry to hear you are not happy with the service you have received. Prescriptions are issued at the doctors discretion and the Practice no longer prescribe medications which are available over the counter for minor ailments of self-limiting illness. Some repeat medications require regular monitoring, you could be asked to have a blood test or blood pressure monitoring. If you have been requested to have one of these tests and you fail to do so. The Practice have grounds to stop medication for the safety of the patient. I am not saying that this was the case for you, however if you are still having problems.     The most disgusting patient care, can never get an appointment and even when it’s urgent it’s taken 9 days for anyone to contact me. Do not go to this surgery.

  7. Review titled Incompetent GP

    I stood in the line in the practise 1hr40mins past my appointment time waiting for a receptionist to speak to. When the doctor called my mobile to see where I was he then called my name out loud and had me in and out of the room within 5 mins. Explaining that I just needed to drink water and see how I am over the next 3 weeks. I went to urgent care and they told me I have a chest infection and an ear infection. Which the doctor clearly looked over. I was prescribed 2 different antibiotics, and the doctor in south lewisham said to drink water!!!! The doctor I saw in south lewisham did not even care to hear any of my problems but only listened to my chest and checked blood pressure. This is very unprofessional.

    I had my phone in my hand to take a phone consultation. The phone rang on a silenced call I called them back and they said they couldn’t help and I would have to go back to my GP I asked if the person was in the building the receptionist said yes I asked could they call me back she said I have to go back to my GP so to summarise I didn’t miss the call they called me on silent I called straight back to be told by a rude and unhelpful receptionist to go back to the GP This leaves me continuing with a great deal of pain and not able to walk properly back to well I don’t know where

    trying to get an appointment is an uphill feet of endurance. First a long form to fill in online - day1. then day 2 a doctor requested I send a photo of the problem. day 3, a text confirms this indeed warrants an appointment and I am asked to wait until they decide the date and time for the appointment. I am still waiting. Did the modality group really do any market testing before this new system was adopted? at what point does this constitute a responsive service? The system wholly relies on you having computer skills, a mobile phone that is on all of the time and significance patience as you wait and wait for an appointment. If you cannot make the appointment, I presume you go through the whole sad experience again from scratch?? meanwhile, treatment for our health problems is being delayed, our conditions worsen and in some instances, are life threatening?? please modality think again and introduce an effective appointment booking system for everyone.

    The new online appointment system is astonishingly poor The queue times to call the service has waiting times of 1 hr plus I’ve had to submit the form several times up to 4 times and appointments are taking over 1 week and you don’t always get a notification I’m still waiting for one that was communicated verbally by phone on 27 June and when I’ve got through have been told there is a backlog by the booking system agent It simply is not working and what should have been an effective triage is now compromised patient care really really disappointing this is now what I am expected to experience every time I need to see a GP
