Review titled Great Practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Ings E - Posted on 27 February 2024
I had an emergency appointment yesterday, spoke to receptionists who advised quickly, got me an appointment with the dr that morning. I met with the dr, who listened to everything I had to say, carried out tests and made a referral whilst I was sat there. This meant I was able to get same day treatment in the hospital with further tests and scans done to resolve the issue. Cannot be more thankful of this service or the staff at Moorfield for being so prompt and understanding!

Review titled Brilliant practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Leanne - Posted on 23 August 2023
My experience with the practice has always been positive. Whenever I contact them to get an appointment for myself or my daughter, they are always able to accommodate my request and I am offered the choice of a face to face or telephone appointment. I find the reception staff to be helpful and informative and the clinical staff always take the time to listen and discuss any issues. Given my recent experience trying to make an appointment for a family member at another practice, I just wanted to acknowledge the efficient service at Moorfield House. Thank you.

Review titled Don't answer the phone
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 05 June 2023
I can never get through. Tried for 4 days last week, waiting 30 mins before giving up. I don't have the time for this. Missed my prescription for a week. I called and got in the queue, waited 30 mins and got in my car and drove there. When I approached reception, nobody was on the phone. I showed them my phone on hold with the repeat message saying "Your call is important to us...". Obviously not. They then told me the phones were not busy. I just tried today and finally got through after 28 minutes and my battery died so I couldn't make my appointment. Not sure why I am writing this as it won't make a difference. Very poor customer service skills on reception.

Dear Anonymous, We are sorry to read that you have had a bad experience at our practice. As your post is anonymous, it is difficult for us to look into the issues you have raised personal to you, therefore we will reply generally. We are aware that our phone system is not currently up to scratch, and due to this we are exploring upgraded options. In the short term future, we hope to be able to offer patients call back functionality and also a virtual queuing system which will advise patients of their position in the queue and hopefully save patients time and frustration. In terms of appointments and prescriptions; have you got online access to request prescriptions and book appointments? We have a substantial amount of GP appointments available for you to book online. You can also view and request/order your repeat prescription (and some acute items) online, saving you time. If you do not have online access, please contact reception and they will be happy to set this up for you. Again, we do apologise for the inconvenience you have experienced and thank you for pointing this out to us, but we do hope that our upgraded telephone system will help alleviate some of these issues. Thank you, Moorfield House Surgery
