Trying to obtain repeat prescriptions for a relative recently discharged from hospital has been nothing short of a nightmare due to the lack of interest from medical staff at the practice. Once discharge from hospital patients are under the 'care' of their GP however the practice see this as an imposition and repeatedly try to refer patients back to the hospital. What is the point of a GP who refuses to do the most basic part of their job - to care for their patients.

I have been chasing to get a repeat smear due to having pre cancerous cells and was told by the womens that I needed more regular smears, to be told by reception that they have no correspondence from the womens and I have to wait for my routine 3 yearly check up, chased the womens for weeks with no luck to then ring the surgery back to double check they have never received any letters, a different receptionist then explains ‘oh yes we have got letters you were due for a smear back in December’ find this awful and this is the reason why so many people are missed for treatment.
