    This surgery had a reception team of entirely rude and obnoxious people who have an air of authority far above their station. Only two of the GP’s I would rate as capable and adequate of caring for their patients, the remainder are dismissive and can’t wait to get you off the phone! They make errors with medication, they fail to honour repeat prescription requests and give absurd reasons for their actions. I called today for an appointment due to current mental health crisis to be told I’m no longer registered with the surgery. This stems from a trip to visit family elsewhere in the country and changing my preferred surgery to one in the locale I was visiting following the unexpected death of a close friend. This somehow meant to those at Mount Avenue Surgery that I had moved and was no longer entitled to be a member of this surgery. On my return I visited the practice in person and signed paperwork to confirm I was still residing in Shenfield and was told that would be all. I was officially de-listed on my Birthday (lovely present) but wasn’t informed of such and now I’m left without support or medication and they, quite frankly, couldn’t give two hoots. PLEasE AvOiD ThiS SurGerY At All CoStS - you’ll save yourself a wealth of stress and aggravation by doing so.

    Increasingly frustrated with trying to contact this practice by telephone. Rang several times between 8.30 am and 3pm to receive a recorded message asking that I call later due to high volume of calls. Rang again at 3.15pm and joined a queue at position number ten. Reached number 1 in the queue after 25 minutes then nothing, just the endless on hold music. I gave up after one hour and 8 minutes. I need to make an appointment due to being unable to order my repeat prescription medication as the doctor has to review my medications before I can do this. Please employ more reception staff. Going to have to visit the surgery in person to make an appointment in future.

    Phoned to make appointment with a doctor to discuss blood results on a Tuesday afternoon. No appointment available this week so was offered ‘the hub’. Appointment made for Saturday but within 2 hours a doctor had called me, discussed the results and agreed to contact the hospital for me. Thank you to the receptionist that suggested using this service.
