Review titled Always waiting on a call queue to speak to someone
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 11 October 2023
Whenever I call the surgery, I’m always waiting on a long queue even if it says I’m on number 1 waiting. Once I was put on the queue for almost two hours! Still no one spoke. It does become stressful calling the surgery.

Review titled Impossible to contact
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Chris - Posted on 14 October 2022
Received text to make an doctor’s appointment Tried to call to make an appointment at 8.30am 21st in queue tried again at 10am 4th in queue waited for an hour and still didn’t manage to get through. Had some tests over 2 weeks ago no contact since. Looks like it takes over 13 mins per call. Ridiculous situation needs urgent rectification. Customer should always come first. I am aware that if I eventually reached a receptionist I would be informed that all appointment slots have been taken and to call again tomorrow. Not good enough Mulbery !

Review titled Phone just ringing and ringing
Rated 1 star out of 5

The reception staff are awful at this surgery. They literally just leave the phone ringing and ringing. It's 7th September around 4:30pm and I have been now waiting to speak to someone for the last hour and 15 mins. This is unacceptable

We are sorry to hear this. We do have the facility to track calls and check systems are working correctly and if need be address staffing levels and issues. If you have experiences like this please do email the surgery with full details and we will look into the matter. Mulberry.medicalpractice@nhs.net

Review titled Poor processes - it’s hard to get an appointment
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Deeply Concerned - Posted on 22 September 2022
I am usually not one to leave reviews like this but the process to book appointments is appalling. You must ring at 08:15 or 14:00 and even then, appointments may all be gone by the time you get through. I’m particularly baffled as the receptionists still insist that you call at these times even when the surgery has contacted you to make an appointment regardless of the severity of the ongoing situation. Why they removed online booking is beyond me! That was a much simpler method of securing an appointment and could be booked in advance instead of the mad scramble to try and get in there before everyone else. I’ve had receptionists quiz me about my symptoms only to tell me to call back later. Not a good system at all. It’s a shame because the GPs (when you get to see them) are very professional and obviously care about their patients.

We understand that removing the online booking has impacted the ease of getting an appointment. As we emerge form the pandemic we are reviewing our service delivery model and we now offer online booking, evening and weekend appointments and strive to improve access.
