Review titled Chaotic and apparently uncaring
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Jay Banbrooke - Posted on 06 October 2023
Made an appointment to see my GP, then to be seen by a locum. My GP uncaring and utterly not understanding of my personal concerns, and unwilling to even try and help. I have no trust or condifence with this Practice.

Review titled Excellent Doctors
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Nadia Hoskins - Posted on 04 July 2023
After 24 years I have absolutely no complaints against the Doctors. They’ve always been first class to all our family. My issue is the new systems. I was told when I tried to book an appointment I had to tell the receptionist my symptoms or if not I would just get a link. To a certain extent I understand this question, but I shouldn’t have to give all the details. I said I had a breast problem. That should have been enough, but no, this non-medical stranger wanted more details or I was getting a link. After getting more information, when I saw the doctor she said there was nothing on the screen and why was I there? Like any woman when you have breast issues you’re naturally worried. You don’t need a receptionist knowing all your details. I did ask for a female doctor and I thought with my brief information that I gave she would have realised why. I know they say they want to direct you to the right doctor when given information, but surely asking to see a female doctor about a breast issue should have been sufficient information. That is of course if they are as qualified as they’re made out to be.

Thank you for your comments. Like many areas of the NHS (i.e. 111, Minor Injuries, A&E) we now need to triage all requests for ‘on the day’ care, due to high demand on the service. This ensures that you can be directed to the appropriate clinician (this includes GPs, Nurses Practitioners, Pharmacists & Physiotherapists etc.) within an appropriate timeframe. The set questions asked by the Care Navigators are laid out by the GP’s and all answers are collated and saved to your medical record. Those patients that do not feel comfortable in answering these questions over the telephone are given the option to complete them via text. Your responses go to the triaging GP who will then assess your request and advise accordingly. We are pleased to see that your triage request was dealt with correctly and promptly by the team. Kind regards Mythe Medical Practice

Review titled Unprofessional

My 86 yr old mother who has Alzheimer’s and slightly deaf was asked her date of birth which she didn’t hear straight away so nurse was a bit short and said it again She was given a blood test which I thought was taken without much care and arm bled quite a lot afterwards and now has massive bruise After giving a urine sample to the nurse we then followed her down the corridor to go out the door when she promptly said to someone inside a room it’s…p (the derogatory word for urine) whilst coming away with us in ear shot I wasn’t impressed and don’t know if my mother heard it or not but I did and was disgusted on how unprofessional she acted I have taken the name of the nurse and will make sure my mothers appointment aren’t with her as the other nurses are more kind and patient
