Checked in at the terminal, which said the doctor was on time but in fact I was called in after 30 minutes waiting. Not unusual in itself but maybe the terminal was incorrect. Without intently listening, you can hear the receptionists talking to patients and on the phone, music in the waiting room would be better, that fades when names are called over the tannoy, to make it feel a bit more confidential! The consultation was pleasant, relevant checks done and prescription given. The doctor left me with options to consider, so I could get back to the surgery any time.

I contacted the surgery via the Patchs system and straight away the practice replied and I was invited to attend an appointment within an hour, for what was considered to me, an non-urgent appointment. Arrived at the surgery and was seen within 5 minutes. The doctor was pleasant and prescribed some medication. I try not to contact the surgery and hope my family and I never need it frequently, but today the surgery has shown how efficient it is and offer an excellent service.

Completing a patches request and the surgery got back the same day with an appointment. The nursing staff also pleasant. Thank you all involved.

Condenscending reception staff, poor appointments with pharmist. Ridiculous appointment for a telephopne call back, a whole day window on the basis that the pharmist is too busy to call back with in a reasonable time frame eg between 9am and 11 am despite being asked to call a week ahead. The receptionist just says the pharmist is busy and make other calls. This must be poor organisation or more likely obstructional recptionists. Thye forgert that i may also be busy even busier than the pharmist.

I have never explicitly given permission to this surgery to use my personal phone number to bombard me with messages, ranging from GP retirement information to opening hours. It is disgusting use of a private phone number, even after requesting it to stop. My only course of action is to now report this to the ICO for contravention of privacy laws.

Having contacted Neston Surgery by telephone on the first day of them re-opening after the Christmas break, I was given a consultation that day. A blood test was arranged for the following day and I was immediately referred to the Gynae Service at Arrowe Park, where I was seen less than 48 hours after my initial GP consultation. My treatment culminated in major surgery. I can only give praise to all of the surgery staff involved in my care. My husband has had a number of health issues since we joined Neston Surgery about 2 years ago and he has always received excellent care too. All GP surgeries are very busy these days so having to call repeatedly sometimes to speak to clerical staff who can help is commonplace. I would highly recommend the e-consult service for the more 'tech-savvy'.
