Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 09 October 2024
Last month dermatology send prescription and full details of medications and how much to issue. The gp reception refuse to issue them and another latter was issue to them again. Gp said there is no information on latter but dermatologist confirms they have. Many many calls were made by me and no help from Gp. The full prescription was issued but agin they have refused why Gp pharmacy is not issuing full prescription again and will not follow dermatology prescription. I am confused on why r they doing it and are gp qualifed to refuse to dermatologist prescription.

We are sorry there has been difficulties with your medications. The process of prescribing between secondary care and primary care can sometimes be frustrating - however leaving an anonymous review is not helpful. We can not look into your feedback. Please contact the surgery so we can look into this for you - our pharmacist may be able to help. Kind regards CMC

Review titled Dreadful Surgery appointment again
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Neville - Posted on 31 July 2024
I was booked in for a 55+ health check at 1 30pm but was not seen for 40 minutes. Patients came in after me and were seen. If I had not challenged the reception staff who I was told had not booked me in. I left the appointment before it was done because I was vety irate. I have been refused my regular medication for no known reason on Friday as well. 3rd appointment at surgery or hospital in 2 years (my only visits). Never ever seen a Doctor from this surgery. Ever. However 2 weeks I did soeak over the phone to a female doctor who was excellent. Good on the phone dreadful in the surgery. Still no medication re requested via app.

Dear Neville In response to your review, it is important to clarify the following: 1. Health Check Appointment: You were booked for a health check at 1:30 pm. We understand you were frustrated with the receptionist not booking you in, but this is why we have the self-booking facility in reception. We apologise for the misunderstanding. 2. Prescription Collection: Contrary to your claim, your prescription has been ready at the surgery since you ordered it. You could have collected it yesterday. Our prescription team have contacted you this morning to arrange another prescription to be issued to you urgently. If there are issues with your medication requests, please bring them to our attention in a civil manner, and we will address them promptly. 3. Previous Appointments: We acknowledge that you have had limited visits to the surgery or hospital in the past two years, but this does not justify abusive behaviour. We strive to provide the best care for all our patients, and respectful communication is a cornerstone of this effort. Interactions with our staff and doctors must adhere to this standard. Abuse of our staff will not be tolerated. Swearing at staff and shouting in an intimidating manner will not be tolerated. All our staff are here to work and provide a health service. Our lead Partner will be writing to about yesterday’s events today. Kind regards Practice Manager CMC

Review titled Poor reception service
Rated 1 star out of 5

I was told by the doctor to collect stool samples for tests. I went to the medical practice, the reception only gave me one bottle to collect the sample. A few days later, when I visited the doctor, he told me there were two more bottles. Hence, I asked the reception for the other two bottles. After collecting the samples, I sent them to the medical practice. However, after more than one week, the reception called me saying that I collected urine rather than stool, and there is one more that I should give them. How come? I am more than 100% sure that I collected stool, not urine. Obviously, they made a mistake. The reception was not doing their work, they should have given me all three bottles for the first time, and should not mixed my samples with others'. It has wasted me many hours to come and go, and now I have to go again to take the bottle for sample and go to send to them again after collection. What's worse, when I asked "can you please check whether this is the last one", she simply said she cannot and said it's up to me to collect or not. What an experience and service!

Review titled Unprofessional behavior
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Kamil - Posted on 28 April 2024
I have called to find out why my prescription is not forwarded to doctor for review and the receptionist said, its our decision weather we send them or not, i have asked few times to speak with manager or team leader but suddenly all disappeared. I informed that these medication is take for years and doctors will issue them but my request was denied which will affect our health. The receptionist said book appointment which will take a month and in that time the health of my child would have been really bad. I would request that receptionist do not take decision into their own hands and leave it to doctors.

Review titled Receptionist
by Abbey25 - Posted on 01 May 2023
Received a call from the surgery in the afternoon. My wife tried to answer the call but as she is disabled by the time she reached to pick up the call, the phone stopped ringing, I immediately rang the surgery straight back. I requested to speak to the person who had contacted me yesterday. I was told by the receptionist that no one had been in touch. My wife had spoken to that person and explained that I was not available and will be able to speak to them again tomorrow. The receptionist said that there were no notes and no calls recorded. They wouldn’t let me speak to the manager or the Asthma nurse who had made the call. I have had similar incidents before. Doctors and Nurses are excellent. Unfortunately in my experience receptionists give organisations a bad name. I hope something gets done about this issue. If this continues, people will loose patience who bring income to the practice. I believe this is a training issue.

Thank you for your recent feedback. I see it has been posted with a username I cannot identify or a date of when this happened. There are no details for us to investigate the incident you report. Unfortunately, the asthma nurse is not available to take calls in clinic time and has a supportive admin team that can manage her appointments. Please ring Ashley the office Manager as she has never refused to take a call, and returns calls if she is not available, my suggestion would be to do this.
