Review titled Improved service
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Rachel Fletcher - Posted on 07 October 2024
Received much improved service regarding asthma review, comms and appts to health clinic and for flu/covid vaccinations. Using txt msging to prompt and organise appt booking very user friendly for me. Staff on phone appt and in person vaccinations were very affable, efficient and professional. Entirely what you’d expect of health care. Improved comms and contact has left me feeling more cared for as a patient, and has encouraged me to return to GP surgery in future (whereas recently I sought private care because my needs were not being met).

Review titled Took time to listen
Rated 4 stars out of 5

I was sent a link to do a health check, I filled it in and within a couple of days the surgery had been in touch asking me to monitor my blood pressure for 7 days . It was still high so I was asked to come in and see a HCA again it was still high but she also asked me how I’d been feeling recently and thought it was a good idea for me to speak to a doctor. A doctor contacted me today and again listened advised of medication he wanted me to start taking and has also requested some blood tests. I feel reassured that my concerns have been listened to and hoping to feel better soon

I saw the Dr today regarding a changing mole on my back. He listened carefully to my problem examined said mole and then yold me what I actually had was a blood blister that will need eventually removes. But it wasn't my mole changing. Took a picture to place on my file for further reference should it change or get worse. Z Fantastic service

Review titled Used to be good. Now barely functional
Rated 1 star out of 5

A long time ago New Queen Street used to be good. It has declined over many years but since joining with Lakeside it has fallen off the metaphorical cliff's edge. The frontline staff: reception, pharmacy, nurses are all great. Cannot rate the doctors as you'd struggle to see one. Booking is now via the Anima system - so you play weeks of virtual whack-a-mole getting a booking. And then because whomever developed the system is incompetent when you do get on to book as you are filling out the form someone completes before you so you get bounced out. Repeat process. Its actually worse than the dreaded interactive voice system they had before. Even the prescription process has become a farce. Pharmacist decides to amend medication without consultation or notice. And then as recently happened to my child they screw-up again and again leaving them without medication for weeks to manage a debilitating illness. Then when you try to engage directly you get the he said, she said, the system says run around. I think their website sums up their patient focus. It's not great and when you track down their patient feedback section the last review published 2020. Patients Group last minutes 2019. Last audit in 2022 was requires improvement. That is an understatement if I have seen one.
