After waiting over and hour to make an appointment for an unwell 3 year old I was told to call back the next day. After waiting in a queue at 08:00 am I was then told emergency appointments don’t exist now and a form needs completing. This is the third or fourth time I have called and received unhelpful, rude and unprofessional attitude from the receptionist. As I can see from reviews I am definitely not the only one to receive this service from the receptionist. This needs addressing before they lose another family from the practice as my family and I will certainly be leaving.

As you know and all patients have been informed we have switched to a new system called Alliancecare to book appointments. Seen the consultant in may who wrote to this GP asking for a medicine to be added. Seen another consultant today in same department and asked if I had been taking the said medicine and it’s should have been prescribed a month ago by the GP. It hasn’t and it’s effecting my condition. It’s terrible service. I have a serious illness and things like this certainly do not help.

Dear Patient Thank you for your review. I have investigated your concerns. The practice received a letter dated 22nd June 2023 into our surgery on 8th June 2023. The medication was added and issued on 13th June 2023. There was no delay from receipt to processing and issuing your medication. The type of medication you were prescribed is also available to purchase over the counter from the local pharmacy.

Certain receptionists are very rude and unhelpful and give you the wrong information and tell you to call other people just to get you off the phone. Wouldn’t recommend this practice purely because of the receptionists lack of help, however the times I have been able to beg the receptionists for an appointment and actually gotten one and seen a nurse or doctor they have been great.
