Review titled Brilliant receptionist shame about the Doctors
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 13 December 2024
After being with this practice for over 25 years I had previously gave a five star review when they were taking over recently by new Dr's. I have since changed my mind after finding out the Dr cancelled a referal appointment for a pain that I've had for over 4 years to tell me it's all in my head. The referral was originally made by my dentist so how the Dr's can take it upon them self yo cancel is just disgusting. I'm currently now trying to find a new Dr's and in the meantime will trog along sick because I am refusing to see any Dr's in this practice now.

The doctors and other staff were caring and knowledgeable; I was able to get an appointment when convenient, and I feel I was listened to

Review titled Excellent Practice in Lewisham!
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Thin Oo - Posted on 10 August 2024
An excellent surgery I have ever attended to as I have only seen the physician once and realised that how caring the surgery can be and overseeing all patients in the community. A journey from the booking team as receptionist pick up the call in timely manner to book an appointment. The GP arranged the necessary referral to the specialist team in the hospital. I am so grateful to you all and highly recommend the surgery for the amazing reception team, nursing staff and approachable doctors. I am so glad to be registered with Nightingale Practice and being a patient under their fantastic care.

Review titled Time & understanding - just what the Doctor ordered.
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Penny - Posted on 30 May 2024
I have had only two appointments with this particular GP. I would love to identify the doctor, but I have read the rules and regs., so I won't. My first appointment, over the phone, was over an hour late, but once the consultation began, I could understand why. This doctor took the time to listen, the time to ask questions, the time to reassure me and the time to provide the service that was needed at the time. I experienced the same service during a face-to-face appointment today. The other Doctors at the practice are equally commendable, but this Doctor goes the extra mile. Three cheers for Nightingale House Surgery!

Review titled Excellent Practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Eileen Lane - Posted on 18 April 2024
I’ve been a patient of this surgery for several years now. My face to face appointment this week was fitted in within a few days of my seeking it, as I would otherwise not have been able to attend for several weeks. It wasn't an urgent issue but did concern something that has been worrying me. In the circumstances, I wasn't really expecting a short notice face to face appointment to be possible. But one was found, because the receptionist appreciated its importance to me, as did the GP I saw. I have never received anything other than courtesy and care from all the staff of this practice, from reception through to clinical staff. This latest experience was no exception. I think I'm lucky to be registered here.

Review titled Not so friendly practice
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I called to book an appointment on the phone at exactly 8.00 am. I was number 6 on the line for 29 minutes (i.e. 8.29 am). A voice asked for my details only to be told that they are fully booked for the day. When I tried to explain that I was number 6 in the line I was cut off the line. I went to the surgery to book an appointment but I was told by the receptionist to explain in details my ailment in front of other patients (total strangers) before they could book an appointment for me. The whole incidence was like reading my medical history to the rest of the world. At the end a phone appointment was booked for me in the afternoon of the same day.

Review titled Fantastic Doctors
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Aaron McGinty - Posted on 22 December 2023
I have mean a part of two surgeries in my life time. This is by far the best surgery. The staff are always polite and helpful. And they go out of their way to help their patients. I had a member of the office ring me today to let me know that my medication was at my pharmacy so i didnt have a wasted journey checking if it was there yet. Also i never have an issue getting an appointment. I always tell me friends and family how fantastic my doctors surgery is. Thankyou nightingale surgery.

Review titled Kind and helpful
Rated 5 stars out of 5

This is a general review of my experience with the surgery over many years, rather than a specific encounter. Almost without exception, encounters with all staff from reception/admin to GPs has been kind and helpful. This is extremely important. They should be proud of the service they provide.

Review titled Avoid
Rated 1 star out of 5

This was a good surgery 10 years ago when I moved to the area but over the years and even more so in recent months the care and service has gone downhill. They expect to discuss your health issues with the receptionists who to start are not very friendly at all and they will judge if is worth of a call from a Paramedic. The Paramedic will then prescribe medication as fist resource rather than see you or let you speak to a doctor.
