Review titled surgery is fine. dispensary ridiculous
Rated 1 star out of 5

Every time I need to pick up medication it takes an hour!! It’s ridiculous sometimes I have visited 2-3 times, each time waiting for 30 mins or more to get my medication! They need to work more efficient and quicker! Ques are always long and it’s just a simple process of giving medication!! never have I ever experienced such pain in picking up meds my whole life, but last 3-4 months have been unacceptable! I now will take my prescriptions and get them from somewhere else!

We would like to sincerely apologise for the delays you may have experienced recently in our dispensary service. We deeply regret any inconvenience this may have caused and want to assure you that we are working diligently to resolve the issues as quickly as possible. As part of our commitment to improving the quality of our services, we have recently introduced new software in the dispensary. This system was designed to enhance the accuracy of dispensing, minimise errors, and ultimately speed up the overall process. In addition, we have restructured our team rota to ensure that dispensing assistants work closely alongside dispensers. This change aims to optimise workflows and provide a more efficient service. The new rota and processes were implemented on 2nd January, and while the system is working well overall, we are experiencing some initial challenges that need to be addressed. These "teething problems" are not uncommon with such transitions, but we fully understand how frustrating delays can be for you. Our team is working tirelessly behind the scenes to iron out these unexpected issues, and we are making steady progress. Once these adjustments are complete, the new system will significantly improve our service by: • Reducing waiting times for processing medications. • Minimising dispensing errors. • Keeping you better informed about when your prescriptions are ready for collection. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this time of transition. Your support means a great deal to us as we strive to enhance the care we provide to our community. Thank you for bearing with us, and please rest assured that we are fully committed to getting this right.

Review titled Disappointing

Arrived to see the nurse 5 minutes before appointment and took 45 minutes to be seen. No communication whatsoever about the length of wait time. When I did get seen and politely complained I was told, without an apology, that they were busy, as if they are the only people that are busy.

We were disheartened to hear of your recent experience and would like to offer our sincere apologies for the lack of communication you received on the day. We completely understand how frustrating this must have been for you. Emergencies do happen in the surgery which can cause delays, but as you state this should have been conveyed to you. Your comment has been fed back to our team to remind them to keep all patients informed.

Review titled Poor Service
Rated 2 stars out of 5

This review is not me apportioning blame to any individual. I felt that my needs were so important I decided to travel 15 mile each way to the Urgent Care in MK. They have absolutely no synergy with the Bucks Health care, however the kind nurse printed off the early morning content of my visit to give to my Surgeries Doctor. On my way home I called into my Surgery as it had just opened, explained my early morning visit and repeated the nurses (at MK) that I needed an appointment today as it may be urgent. Its now 14.55 & I'm still waiting. Also I work in the prison service and if an episode like this occurs I cannot go to work as I can not take a phone into the prison & therefore a valuable day lost for myself and the Prison. Things have got worse it is obvious & I feel the standards of how we are treated is below expectations of what we would expect for the once great NHS

Review titled Communication Poor
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by barry scarfe - Posted on 01 June 2024
firstly, I have an agreement with norden house surgery, that due to my role within a prison, I have little or reduced access to a phone for doctor call backs & that communication would be carried out after 5pm. Since recently receiving a change of blood pressure tablets I have regularly been getting skin hives & have to take antihistamine tablets. I called the surgery yesterday at 3pm ,explained the above & asked if I could receive a doctors call this coming Monday. She said she would have to speak to her manager & get back to me. By 6pm I called & spoke to another lady ,who said basically it wasn't fair to be held waiting this long & she would look into it & get back to me by the day. I received a message to call 111 some minutes afterwards. Apparently an adverse reaction to prescribed medication can be very serious, obviously not to this surgery. I have no faith in 111, having a very poor experience in dealing with 111 people who ate not medical & read of a script. Appalling service, which is a shame as it used to be very good, or maybe its because I am of an age & not worthy who knows.
