Review titled Outstanding in so many ways
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by sheri cooper - Posted on 28 June 2024
I recently joined Nork clinic due to extremely poor service from my previous local doctors. I cannot express enough how great they have been from the get go. My daughter moved to Nork about a year ago due to the same reasons as mine and she has had no problems at all, the whole team have been very supportive thoughtout. I have received excellent pre and post op care from doctors and staff at the practice over the last couple of months. I was amazed that they called me after they had received information about my diagnosis, checking in with me to see and to say what support they can provide. I cannot praise them highly enough. On one occasion I was on the telephone with one doctor for 15 minutes, to then have a follow up call a couple of days later. this just would not of happened with my previous doctors. I am so pleased I made the move when I did. I thank everyone at the clinic.

I rang this morning dead on 8.30, the call was answered in about 30 seconds, arrangements were made for a doctor to ring which she did about 9.30, an appointment was made for 11.30. Couldn’t believe how easy it was after reading some reviews on this site.

I have received excellent pre and post op care from doctors, staff and especially the nurses at the practice over the last couple of months, I cannot praise them highly enough I have been a patient here for over 20 years and they have dealt with every problem I have had proficiently even during the pandemic and for that I am very grateful

My 83 year old Mother who lives in Maidstone is visiting this week and has taken ill with a virus. I phoned this morning at 8.30am was asked to complete a temporary registration and got a return call by 9.30am confirming that a doctor would call this morning. Doctor called 11am to discuss symptoms and spoke to my mother even asked if we required a paramedic. We picked up a prescription 30 minutes latter. Thank you.

Review titled A very caring G.P. Practice.

Following a recent health issue, I feel I would like to leave this Review to show my gratitude for the very conscientious, friendly care which I received from the whole team at Nork Clinic. Knowing how stretched our NHS is, it was very reassuring to be assessed promptly and to receive the correct treatment, The receptionists, being the first port of call, are always very helpful and caring and this is exactly what a patient needs. Thank you to everyone who helped in my recovery.

Review titled Shocking service

Tried to get a doctors appointment urgent for our daughter on Wednesday 04/01 - nearest slot was Sunday 08/01. she also needed some blood tests and the next available date was Wednesday 11th Jan - a repeat prescription was handed in on 28/12/2022 and when I went to pick it up on 05/01 it wasn’t at the chemists - on visiting the surgery to ask why I was told the doctor would like to talk to her about the prescription! - Inundersatnd why but why had no-one called her yet? Bear in mind we were phoning to make an appointment and we’re delayed by 4 days yet the doctor wanted to see my daughter - due to the infection we thought she had and confirmed by a private doctor we are now at Sunday08 Jan when she has had blood tests got a new prescription and had three days of tablets all before what would have been her first appointment at Nork clinic today Sunday the 8th. She would have been very poorly had we not gone private at a considerable cost that is not finished yet due to the follow up appointment to discuss yes discuss the blood test results as my daughter has deficiency in certain areas and a proper reading explained to the patient may help them change their diet as an example as opposed to hearing ‘ your results are ok’ - I know about the pressures and I empathise but this whole sequence of events is very sad and I am losing faith with Nork clinic wherw I have been a patient for nearly 30 years - finally I was going to fill in a form to ask what injections are required for a family trip to Thailand in April but your form is not available at weekends !?

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your poor experience with the Practice. We have identified the patient and having investigated further, we can confirm that the patient was contacted by telephone on a few occasions and also an appointment made, which the patient then cancelled. The above information provided is not factual and is inaccurate.

Review titled Fantastic Practice , Great Team

I have been with the clinic for over 2 years and in that time I have never had to wait for an appointment, I find the online system to book appointments works extremely well. It does close when all the appointments have been filled. I always submit my requests at 8am when the system opens. It is only open Monday to Friday but have out of hours appointments over the weekend which is a great service for anyone working which is great for me. The staff are always polite and helpful I have witnessed some very rude patients in the clinic which is very unacceptable. If you do contact them be sure to be polite and kind, they are there to help and should not be subject to bad bullying behaviour.

Review titled A shocking excuse for a GP surgery

You cant get an appointment for love nor money. You try to call to make an appointment and they refuse to speak to you and tell you to go via the website. You go on the website and the form is 'temporarily unavailable' and then you try again later and it's close again, this time for lunch for 3 hours every day! It's a disgrace, a waste of tax payers money and should be closed!

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your poor experience with the Practice. Our staff would not ‘refuse’ to speak to any patient and direct patients to the website if open. If a query is of an urgent nature, staff would deal with this accordingly over the phone. Unfortunately we only have a finite number of appointments to offer each day, so the website is closed when we are unable to offer any further appointments for that day. However our phone lines remain open from 8.30-6.30pm Monday to Friday. Our Website closes daily from 11am to 2pm, so that online requests submitted in the morning by patients ( up to 80 requests a day ) can be assigned to a GP. Thank you for your comments which will be relayed back to the Nork Clinic Team.

Review titled Poor service

This surgery insist on filling in their form, which is constantly unavailable and closed. You are kept waiting on phone to be cut off. Receptionist.. one in particular is most unhelpful.. they have a few good GP’s if you are lucky enough to get an appointment. 75% of the time this surgery is closed and offers no services other than call 111 or use AE .. no wonder the hospitals are under so much pressure.. people are having to use them as no service at Nork Clinic for sure.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your poor experience with the Practice. We have recently had a new phone system installed at the beginning of October which addresses the issues where patients were being cut off. Thankfully this has now stopped since the new system was implemented. Over the last few weeks, due to the high volume of online forms being submitted, as a Practice, it was deemed unmanageable & unsafe so the Website was switched off before & over the Xmas Period but we continued taking phone calls from 8.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday to cope with the demand . We are sorry that you were still advised to use the website when it was closed and will address this as a training issue with Reception. We are open Monday to Friday 8.30-6.30pm which are our core Practice hours and from 6.30-9.30pm for extended access via our local Hubs. Also open all day Saturday, meaning The surgery is not closed 75%. We have now reverted to 65% face to face appointments over the last 6 months with the remaining 35% being available for phone triage . Please be assured we will take your comments on board, which will be discussed at our next meeting and thank you for bringing your feedback to our attention

Review titled Bad Service
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I tried to book an appointment on-line for a phone consultation with adoctor. The on-line system was closed when I tried at 11.54am. It said for appointments today. I rang the surgery and the recorded message stated, amongst other things, "only ring if you have been requested to do so". However, I hung on and spoke to the receptionist and told her yet again the on-line system was closed as it had on many occasions. I explained that I did not want an appointment for today but next week or the week after. I had a previous consultation with a doctor who prescribed medication and informed me to let him know in two weeks how I got on. I contacted the practice 4 weeks after the initial consultation. All I needed was to speak to the doctor, not see anyone and asked if she could make an appointment the next week as it was not an appointment I needed today. I was told that the system could not differentiate between appointments today or next week so she could not do that. I needed to go on-line nearest to 8.00 am as I could. Disgusting service, scramble for appointments at 8.00am. GP practices have become impenetrable

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry to hear about your poor experience with Nork Clinic. Your concerns will be raised at our next Practice meeting and any training needs addressed. Where you have tried to access the website & it has been closed, the Receptionist should have been able to make an advance booking for you over the phone and we apologise for the inconvenience caused. Our Website closes from 11 am to 2pm during the weekdays so that Reception staff can triage the website requests received that morning to the GPs. Where high volumes of requests have been received and no further appointments to offer to our patients, the website is closed for the remainder of the day. Our phone lines remain open throughout the whole day for patients to be able to contact us. Unfortunately we are unable to investigate this further as you have identified yourself as Anonymous. Thank you for bringing your feedback to our attention.
