  1. Review titled Impossible to contact

Rated 1 star out of 5

Tried calling on 3 occasions, on hold for 30 minutes each time then the phone would disconnect interestingly. The 4th time, we got a receptionist who gave the opening line, didn't even wait for a response and hung up on us. Disgusting service when all we want is to get some advice for our 1 year old daughter.

Dear patient, thank you for taking the time to feed back on your experience. Unfortunately I do not know who the patient is you are referring to, but I would like to absolutely reassure you that we are working very hard with our commissioners on improving our telephone system and also assure you that the receptionists do not put the receiver down on patients unless they are unable to hear you. This is a known problem with our system which we are almost at the point of resolving. However, I apologise sincerely for the inconvenience you have been caused. May I also suggest using the Healthier Together app which many parents have found a useful and detailed first contact for concerns regarding children up to the age of 18 years. We also have a Patient Liaison Officer who would be happy to speak with you regarding any future issues you may experience. With kind regards, Claire Cairncross, Practice Manager.

  2. Review titled No support at all

Rated 1 star out of 5

Absolutely no support from this surgery. I have been trying to get pain relief for a chronic condition since before Xmas. Have found out today that the repeat has been stopped. Have previously tried calling surgery back but no one answers. Also have now been told I have no repeat for another ongoing medication for an autoimmune condition that is vital. This surgery used to be one of the best I have been with, I now view it as one of the worst. No communication and making appointments is at worst impossible and at best complicated. Even phone consultations are virtually impossible to obtain.

Unfortunately I am unable to offer you individual advice as you are anonymous, but please could I ask you to email us with your concerns and perhaps you would like to make an appointment with our Patient Liaison Officer to discuss your frustration with regard to making an appointment. With kind regards, Claire Cairncross, Practice Manager.
