Frendly nurse took bloods early as she saw me in the waiting room and remembered me from previous visits.

Review titled Unfair and not reliable
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Carolyn Donaldson - Posted on 19 November 2024
I had an apt on Friday 15th November and arrived went in check in queue and then decided to self check in and it wouldn’t let me so I had to wait for 10mins + because there was nobody on the desk and there was others in queue waiting to check in too. I eventually got to the front and was told that she would send the doctor a msg as I was late, so I sat down at 10.30 and at 10.55 I went back to the window only to be told the doctor had finished and there was nobody else to see me. So I left only to go away with a chest infection for the whole weekend. Then on Monday the 18th I requested an appointment at 8am, I phoned at 2pm to be told I was on doctors list but no phone call so I’d waited 10 hours for nothing! I requested an apt today and got a call for an apt at 10.20 so I’ve been in discomfort since Friday which shouldn’t have happened as it wasn’t my fault.

Review titled Giving blood
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Aazam Ahmad - Posted on 10 November 2024
“I recently had my blood taken, and the experience was made surprisingly pleasant, all thanks to the wonderful nurse who assisted me. From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with a warm, genuine smile that instantly put me at ease. She took the time to make sure I was comfortable, never rushed, and truly showed that she cared. Her empathy and compassion were evident in every step; she explained each part of the process and reassured me throughout. I felt like I was in safe, caring hands. It’s rare to find a healthcare professional who goes above and beyond, but she truly did. Thank you for making what could have been a nerve-wracking experience so much easier!”

It was easy to book an appointment online and a Dr responded within a short space of time. Having attended the clinic I was thoroughly checked out and left with an easy mind.

Review titled Appalling Management of Reception
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Michael Lord - Posted on 14 November 2024
I had an appointment at 3:20pm and arrived 5mins late and waited at the reception where one window was visible with just one receptionist who was talking to another patient and I waited whilst he was dealt with. When whilst waiting another male joined the queue and when I got to the window the receptionist had disappeared. I waited a further couple of mins and realising no one was returning I pressed the bell. A receptionist came to the front and I explained that I was a little late and have an appointment for 3:20pm and she said I was too late by nearly 15mins. I I explained that I was waiting behind the male she had previously dealt with which took a while, which she didn’t look to believe, until I gave her the description of the male and the other male behind me in the queue confirmed of his own accord that I had been waiting 10mins at least whilst he was stood there. I explained with only one window open and visible with one receptionist, they had not made this easy for themselves to see. I explained that she walked off after dealing with the patient in front of me where I waited for her to reappear and had to ring the bell after waiting. She then said the doctor can’t see me, but will check and then brought who I presume to be the office manager. They said that it was too late and should’ve checked in on the on screen check in tablet at the opposite end from the entrance. I explained where I am stood, on entry and also in the text they sent, there was no mention of this and that the on screen check in isn’t very visible. Other patients agreed and they apologised and said that the surgery was technically shut as the doctors were having a meeting, of which I saw them welcome them into the reception office as I stood waiting. I explained that there was no guidance on entry in any sign to state that you check in on a little tablet at the end of the room and that this was unacceptable after driving 30mins from work in Ashton in traffic to get there. I mentioned that one reception window was completely covered up so staff can’t see who is waiting! Again they apologised that I felt that way and told me to rebook as all GP’s were now in a meeting, despite the queue of patients growing behind me. I have been before to the GP and not usually had an issue, however I have read other patients having issues with reception in online reviews which highlight how poor it is and have left the practice as a result of incidents like this.

The phlebotomist that treated me was kind and careful. She had a sense of humour. Very important in a medical practice.

The Doctor treated me with respect and courtesy and information he provided was clear and precise. Unlike some other doctors that I had the misfortune to meet recently this gentleman is a credit to his profession
