Review titled Appalling , mismanaged, not fit for purpose.
Rated 1 star out of 5

Very unhelpful staff, very rude, poor customer experience, very bad at diffusing a situation, hung up on me. Naive and ignorant. Treated me as if I were a fool and refused, point blank, to even acknowledge what I was asking. In the past, not long ago, dr **** encouraged me to register as my mum's carer, and "if there was anything that I needed help with they would always be there to support me". Just more rhetoric. Quite frankly I'm disgusted and outraged. I appreciate the surgery is under pressure, as are the general practitioners and admin staff. As are the general population too. I am totally disillusioned and fed up with the incompetence and ridiculous management of Northlands urgery specifically. Even when I was last at the Royal United Hospital in Bath with my mother having an Alendronic acid infusion, two of the nurses were discussing with me the terrible reputation Northlands in Calne had. Common knowledge within the system apparently. No wonder Dr *****chose to get out and retire, as have many of the other experienced staff. I wish them the best of luck. Unless you have a simple cold, and require some paracetamol, I wouldn't recommend Northlands to anyone, be it friend of foe. This surgery has gone downhill. It is no longer fit for purpose. If this surgery were in a larger town or city, I genuinely believe it would be under constant investigation as anyone with a sense of decency and integrity wouldn’t just accept what’s going on there. Formal complaints would be constantly being made. The new practice manager seems to feel that it is acceptable to discuss very delicate issues with the pharmacist, within earshot and view of the public waiting to collect their prescriptions. And to make light of serious issues within the practice. I feel that patients are being made not only a mockery of but are also at serious risk of harm. It is simply a matter of time before something dreadful happens. Not doubt the surgery will not be held responsible, but probably the patient.

Review titled 30 Years Plus of Outstanding Care
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Seen this week twice by fantastic caring staff. Appointment on the day, great reception staff, never any different. Our town has at least doubled in size , our primary care resource has not. We need to be proud of our local doctors surgery, not knocking them. Northlands always tries its best, just needs twice the resource. A bunch of stars!
