  1. Review titled No appointment since merger to cardinal medical practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

Trying to make an appointment and the online system states the pratice is now offline. Tried 3 other days with same results. Cannot call as no one seems to pickup or too long queue. Rubbish services, was much better before they merged. No wonder people are queing in ANE as the GP's cannot give people simple appoinments when needed. Cannot book in advance eitther. Someone needs to step in and change this round, patents will suffer in the long term.

Firstly thank you for taking time to feedback on the service and I am very sorry to hear that you have not been able to put in a request via our AskMyGP system and I can totally understand your frustrations. We are finding that we are in a similar position as most practices at the moment in the fact that our systems are being turned off earlier than expected due to the unprecedented demand we are all currently facing. To enable us to help you, please do try to raise a request via AskMyGP when the systems open at 8am if possible. If the system closes due to us reaching our capacity for the day, you can still call the practice if your medical query is urgent for that day, and one of our Care Navigators will be able to assist you. It does mean there will be a queue, so we apologise for any delay, but the team will endeavour to answer your call as soon as possible. Please note that dependent on the nature of your query, there are some custom actions available on AskMyGP that are still open to use, even if the main service has been switched off, so please check, as we can still assist if you need to request a sick note, wish to request a repeat medication, breast problem (self referral), or wish to book your annual review (for which you would have received a letter inviting you to book an appointment). If you wish to leave your name, I will be happy to contact you to discuss your needs further, alternatively, please feel free to contact the practice via email to cardinal.medicalpractice@nhs.net. Many thanks
