Rated 5 stars out of 5

Oak Lodge medical Centre is a good place to go for medical treatment. Services at the reception was good. Finally the Doctor I met was very patient, he listened to me and took care of me and prescribed my medication without wasting much time.

Review titled Worst GP Ever
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 24 February 2023
This GP is the worst experience I’ve ever dealt with - it’s impossible to get an appointment -they leave you in the queue for hours on end with no answer when calling - they’re incredibly rude and have absolutely no urgency, which is staggering giving their sector. There’s not enough explicits in the world to describe this service.

We are sorry to hear that you had difficulty accessing our services . We have various ways to access our services, online booking, e-consult options via the website, Additionally, we offer evening and weekend appointments, through our Federation service. If you're unable to get an appointment with your GP, you may also want to consider visiting a walk-in centre or urgent care clinic. These facilities can often provide medical advice and treatment for minor illnesses and injuries and can be a good option if you're unable to get an appointment with your GP. We continually review our access to services and try to accommodate our patient’s needs. We are sorry you have had difficulty.

The doctor was very patient and walked me through every possible solution, she went to the extent of researching information that she felt would be appropriate. She also had to inquire if other procedure could be done by a specialist as there were complications

It's been four months that I am struggling with my asthma and couldn't see a doctor and couldn't even call the practice. spent min 1hr on the line and was disconnected by the receptionist. I really don't know what to do.

Review titled Not a good experience
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Hilary Okwuokei - Posted on 29 December 2022
I previously wrote about staff being dismissive and unwilling to help at the practice, which has led to a two-year wait for a physiotherapy appointment. This platform refused to publish what I wrote stating that I “named members of staff or an NHS patient” which was not true because I only named the role of the person. But suddenly, the practice called me the same day to ask if I can come for the physiotherapy appointment. What I am not sure of is whether they were quickly informed by NHS to get me an appointment, because I have written a review to be published, or if it was just coincident. It is an awkward situation because it went from a practice that spoke disrespectfully to me earlier in the day when I called, to becoming very nice on the phone, asking if I can come for the appointment the next day. I have decided to seek other alternative treatments because I have lost confidence in the practice. The only sad side is that I work, and I pay my taxes. During a phone conversation in past, someone in the practice once told me that things are slow because the service is free, which I disputed because I pay tax every month.

We are sorry to hear that your original post had been refused, we did receive a notification with your feedback. As you posted with your name we were able to contact you and try and assist you. We introduced a new First contact Physio service and we offered this as an intervention to support you as the Physio wait is so long. We are sorry you decided to decline our offer.

Review titled Poor Service
Rated 1 star out of 5

I’m disappointed with the practice only accepting bookings for ‘on the day’.only and then only from 0830hrs and 1400hrs. People who work cannot sit on the phone in their place of work hoping to gain an appointment then getting what is usually a firm ‘no sorry all the appointments have gone can you phone back either at 1400hrs or tomorrow when we open again’ I’ve had to fight for even a telephone consultation. I have severe leg pain issues happening all the time but can’t get past a physio therapist to actually being examined face to face with an actual Dr! The practice needs re-jigging to have actual appointments that can be booked in advance to suit patients working hours. I have to be in central London for my job that starts at 07:30, even if someone were to eventually answer the phone to book me an appointment I would then have to travel all the way back, get seen and then travel back to my workplace!

Review titled Awefull Receptionist

The receptionist and line managers are very dismissive. Not ready to listen to hear me out. I have been waiting for a physiotherapist appointment for 2 years. Each time I call to ask for an update I get told they will send a message to follow it up.

We are sorry you have been waiting for your appointment for so long. We are aware the waiting times are very long for most services post Covid. All NHS services have been struggling and I can assure the staff do their best to follow up and send messages, however I am not sure this expedites appointments. We are sorry if you felt we were dismissive, this would never be our intetnion.
