    All member of staff at Oaklands are happy cheerful and always make us feel welcome. But the reception staff go above and beyond. This week we attended 3 times it is always busy. The computer system was down making it extremely difficult for them. The continual queue at the desk was huge. The staff greeted every person as though they were the first of the day no rushing and and every person left their desk with a smile and a thankyou. Another went back to the desk on their way out to thank them. Please continue as you are you do a sterling job and I know its not always easy. We are lucky to have such a caring team at Oaklands.

    My last two visits to Oaklands Hythe Surgery, I have been seen by the same nurse who dealt with me in an extremely professional manner, but more importantly, in a friendly and caring way. I have a problem with my elbow, and she showed great understanding over this as I have experienced this for nearly 4 months now; for the first time, I feel someone is doing something for me. She has always been very approachable and kind and I would be very happy to be treated by her again. It is a great shame I am unable to give her name as I would have loved to have given a ‘personal’ review; she was outstanding in every way!

    At some time in the past, I received Covid vaccinations at the practice. Presumably as a consequence, I have been receiving reminder invitations since then, but have in fact been able to have vaccinations (Covid and 'flu) at a local pharmacy and therefore no longer need to make the journey to Hyde. I have however been unable to contact the practice by phone to ask for the reminders to stop, and there appears to be no email address. I would greatly appreciate it if the reminders can be stopped.

  4. Review titled Navigating econsult

    I found it extremely difficult to navigate the econsult form online. I wanted to put in blood pressure readings. I was very hard to find the correct heading to click, add the readings and send. After 2 attempts that took an hour I needed to get the response by email and didn't succeed. finally I called to the surgery and a very friendly, efficient receptionist assured me that my readings were fine, no need to change my medication. I asked for econsult by email to avoid taking up time from overstretched health professionals. Could you please revisit the website with a view to making its use simpler.

    Your recorded message in regard to appointments does not appear to be accurate. I waited early this morning (20 in the queue) to have my call answered to be told that in order to make an appointment for a cervical screening test (I received a letter) I should call back after 10.30 am. The recorded message does not say this. Now I can't get through. It rings and then goes back to engaged. Could you not have another line just for screening appointments? I understand if people give up trying to attend them.

    Completed an e consult this morning. Telephone call received within 3 mins of completion. Attended appointment. Greeted with a smile and professionalism. Identified concerns and prescribed medication. Fantastic job. Thank you.

    The Respiratory nurse carried out a very helpful and professional asthma review with me. It was good to discuss my concerns, she sent me helpful links to asthma documentation for information and gave reassurance in relation to ongoing management of my condition. Thank you for your help

    I just wanted to express the prompt wonderful care my auntie has been given within your practice over the last few months. From the reception team through to the Acp to the Gp and others involved in her care. It certainly has been an emotional rollercoaster for my auntie but everyone in the team has gone the extra mile to explain steps thoroughly and ensure she understands clearly the scan results and next steps. The GP has such a kind and caring manner listening and taking his time to address my auntie’s multiple issues she was never rushed. You are all amazing and it’s lovely to see others passionate about making a difference in their jobs.

    I wanted to ensure Oaklands and indeed my Dr in particular, who I am not permitted to name unfortunately, received the wonderful review they deserve. Over the past 6 months I have been in regular contact due to several health issues and at each stage I have been treated with kindness, support and efficiency. I hope that I am on the road to recovery but I will forever be grateful to The Health Centre. Thanks everyone :-)
