Whilst having some treatment I have been required to have regular blood tests. The surgery have been really helpful in arranging them even when changes to the treatment have led to last minute changes to dates and times. The nurse taking the blood tests is lovely and very kind. She has never caused me any discomfort. In comparison I recently had to have a blood test at the local hospital. The nurse actually hurt me when trying one vein, then again trying the other arm. She then said this was my fault as I had not drunk enough that morning. So, I would like to say thank you very much to the nurse taking bloods and to the surgery in general who have been very kind to me since a recent difficult diagnosis and course of treatment.

My family have received top class service from Old Farm Surgery for the last 22 years. Four generations! Welcoming and attentive, patient, listening and ready to take urgent action when and iff required. My late aged Mother was treated with tenderness and respect for which I will always be grateful. My recent Cancer symptoms were referred urgently and and I have received appropriate and skilled treatment in a timely manner and been kept informed at all stages. We are so lucky to be registered with this lovely caring team which has given us care and attention through some of the toughest times. We cannot praise them enough.

Whenever I have to call Old Farm Surgery I am greeted by a lovely receptionist. They are kind, considerate and extremely patient. In the current situation when surgeries are under extreme pressure Old Farm Surgery staff go above and beyond. Just want to say a big thank you to all of you. X

The best doctor's I've seen. So helpful. Always got time for you. Even when you are sat in reception they know my name and say hello. Very thorough.

I recently moved from newton abbot to paignton, having bounced from gp to gp in there failure to Understand Veterans for Many years. With Extreme ptsd and Suicidal Ideation mostly every day. I joined the Old Farm Surgery very Recently with my Extreme issues. The Surgery is a Total Breath of Fresh Air. The Head Doctor operates this Surgery like a clockwork. Everyone is on the Same wavelength. I had a Double Appointment with the Head Doctor once with my Carer and once on my own. The second one the Doctor had a young Nurse in Attendance Learning about the Military and most important Veterans Issues Symptoms of ptsd. In all of my years with many GP Surgeries, The Old Farm Surgery is a Veteran Aware Surgery. This for me is a first in all of my dealings with my illness of ptsd and all of its elements. I had numerous Concerns today, and The Senior Doctor involved the Young Nurse in all issues. I thought this was truly outstanding and Top Class. Other Main GP Surgeries should take note of/ on this majical Practice. Not just by dishing out loads of Medications but a hands on approach. The Appointment although suffering was totally Excellent and Sheer Class. The Doctor is a Leader and very Veteran Aware , This is /was a Total Breath of Fresh Air. The Communication and Explanations were outstanding, Listening Skills were also so sound. The Doctor has a Excellent level degree of Confidence, Manner , Attitude Extremely Enthusiastic and Diligent. Another point of note is all of the Staff incl reception staff were Fantastic and all on the same level . Yet again I have never in all of my years of suffering have not encountered this level of Veteran affair Perfection. I am so Happy and highly encouraged by this GP and Practice. This practice should be applauded on its Performance of Veteran Affairs and Issues in Particular the Major problem of Soldier Suicide. Thankyou Doctor. This Practice really is a Game Changer and a Outstanding Breath of Fresh air , us Veterans who use this Practice should feel very honoured by there care for us. This is a Positive way Forward for me I would really hope that other surgeries use the Old Farm Surgery as a Model with Veteran issues. In my experience it is widely null and void by many surgeries. All I say is Readers Take Note. Thus far I have seen a Young Mental Health Nurse working within the Surgery who is potentially outstanding who is opening gateways for me. The Doctor issued me with a skin ointment that has for the first time in multi years now fixed and gone. To Note. I have also received several catch up telephone calls from the Doctor, this is outstanding. He really does go the extra mile. At this moment although nights and weekends are Difficult , I can now see thru the mist of uncertainty, and I actually feel a touch more positive I am in the Process of writing to the Veteran Affairs Minister to report on the Old Farm Surgery with a Emphasis of upping the game with Veterans and this surgery

I had a appointment with a Nurse at the Practice Today. She was very Proactive. Excellent care and Communication Skills. Top Class. Breath of Fresh Air. With my new Surgery.

I phoned the surgery at 8-30 this morning & saw the GP at 9-30 excellent service. We never have a problem speaking to a GP or getting an appointment if needed. The GP’s and all the other staff are always very pleasant . Highly recommend

Considering current pressures, especially on GP practices, Old Farm has surpassed my expectations. E-consults are often responded to on the same day, or shortly afterwards, and repeat prescriptions usually ready for collection at the chemist within a few working days. Reception staff are helpful over the phone and I feel listened to, having found that all staff incorporate my preferences and wishes into determining my care. I have a lot of sympathy for primary care doctors and their immense workloads, especially at the moment, and cannot reasonably expect things to be perfect. Yet my experience is of a hardworking and cohesive team, dedicated to doing their best for their patients.
