Review titled Great doctors poor reception staff
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 26 February 2025
Son had appointment today just before school run to collect my other child. After sitting there 15 after my appointment I went to ask the reception lady if we are next as it’s getting close to pick up time for my child at school.. Her reply was well this is what unfortunately happens my darling but you are next. I felt her reply was very patronizing. Instead of apologizing and then telling me I’m next I walked back to my son belittled. This isn’t the first time with the same receptionist who was very belittling and rude. When asking for my children to be added into my nhs app she was very unhelpful and abrupt as I wasn’t receiving the email she said she had sent for literally 5 mins back and forth another staff member from the back came out and offered help only to point out the receptionist had the wrong patient up on the computer.

Dear Patient, Thank you for providing feedback. I am sorry that the GP was running 15 minutes late for your sons appointment and that you were not kept updated about this. I have fed back and discussed your comment about the way you were addressed by the member of staff. I agree that this is not an appropriate expression to use and this will be monitored. I also apologies for the issues you experienced in connecting your children to your profile on the NHS app. I will be addressing this at the next staff meeting with the whole team. Review titled Great practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I’d like to thank the kind receptionist who went out of her way today to help me with a prescription problem. I now have my HRT! I know it wasn’t a life or death issue but it was so kind of you to help me. Thank you. I have always found this practice to be very helpful, all your staff are kind, patient and genuinely want to help us patients. I know it is a challenging arena to work in nowadays and you deserve to hear some positivity about the service you are all providing. Thank you Liz

Review titled Receptionist put another patient in before me!
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Marilyn Leslie - Posted on 28 June 2024
Waiting to see Dr A this morning… still waiting half hour - when guy starts complaining and asking how long. Receptionist nods to me and says one infront - then proceeds to put the guy infront of me when it should have been my turn! Very unprofessional!

Dear Marilyn, thank you for your feedback. Please accept my apologies on behalf of the practice for the experience you had recently. After auditing the appointments for the morning in question, it does show that Dr Aneja was running behind on his appointments due to an emergency, however each patient was seen in the order they were booked. We apologise if you were not kept informed in the manner we would expect and therefore causing confusion and frustration. We will address the issue with all members of the reception team. We will be in contact to offer an alternative appointment. Yours sincerely, David Bell (Practice Manager)

Review titled Great but for one bad experience
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I am on a Diazepam reduction programme in which there was a mutual agreement that I collect the prescription every Tuesday. I stuck to this apart from 3 weeks ago when I had a severe tummy bug and couldn't collect until the Friday. I explained and the reception staff and prescription lady were very understanding that these things can't be helped. I have now received a telephone message from my doctor to say I'm not sticking to the programme. Was I supposed to turn up at the surgery with stomach upset and vomiting as I'm sure that wouldn't have gone down too well. The doctor in question didn't even call me himself so I could have explained to him. He just got one of the ladies to do it. I didn't go 3 days late on purpose. This has made me very disappointed as apart from this incident the reception staff, prescription staff and nurses are all lovely
