  1. Review titled Shocking lack of care - Avoid

Rated 1 star out of 5

I've now had two recent experiences where both times was promised a doctor would ring and they didn't. When you, or a loved one, need medical help they couldn't care less. My family and I have been with this surgery for nearly 30 years and it's become an appalling farce of blaming the patient for being ill and needing to see a doctor. The surgery themselves classed the most recent case as being 'urgent' - not that it made any difference in getting help; ended up being told that because I'd missed their call (which happened on Friday, having been told that I would receive a call on Thursday), I'd have to resubmit a form to be re-assessed, which would be after the weekend. I think I've given this surgery enough chances, probably down to the fact that I've been a patient there for so long and recognise now what a superb doctor the senior partner was (even attending an ill child in the night some 25 years ago). Since the female senior partner has left it's really become very third rate, with staff who can't be bothered to provide medical help when you're ill and vulnerable.

  2. Review titled Disappointing

Rated 1 star out of 5

    by Lyn T - Posted on 02 May 2024

Yesterday 1st May I had an appointment to see a nurse for my 2nd shingles jab. I made the appointment as was requested by the surgery approx 3 weeks ago. I checked in at the surgery 5 mins before my appointment time of 10.15, I was eventually called at 10.30 to be told by the nurse that the appointment request shouldn't have been sent out as the 2nd injection should be 6 months after the 1st ie July/Aug. She was very apologetic but that didn't help I'm afraid given the time it had taken me to park and then waiting to be seen is disappointing to say the least. I moved to this surgery from my previous one in the hope of getting better and quicker service but unfortunately not .

Can’t thank the New Practice Manager enough. She listened to my issues today for my mum and excelled in dealing with them and sorting them. Thank you so much. I have never had such good service from this surgery and have been with them for over 25 years . Keep up the fantastic work.

  4. Review titled Avoid if you can

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Andrea - Posted on 12 June 2024

This surgery used to be acceptable/good ten years ago. Most recently it has gone downhill fast when merging with another in Luton. The triage system to book online is impossible to navigate and time consuming. How elderly people cope is beyond me. I was in need of a repeat prescription urgently, told I needed to see a GP to access the medication then waited three weeks! I had to purchase additional meds online. The way the surgery runs actually puts patients at risk in a number of way. Will be moving surgery as soon as I can. Fed up paying NI and tax for this horrendously inadequate service. Complain and you get no response. Nobody seems happy with the booking system, but patients aren’t listened to. Runs like a business. A bad one.

  5. Review titled No GP appointments

Rated 1 star out of 5

You can only book appointments via a long winded online form after which time the surgery determines whether you see a GP. I needed to see a GP regarding my prescriptions and some alarming test results which had not been shared with me. I raised a complaint and was seen that day in the surgery by a nurse who basically dismissed my complaint and just gave me repeat prescriptions which means as of 2024 my prescription has not been removed in a year. Her explanation for the test results was it wasn't anything to worry about and the equipment was likely faulty! You can't get to a GP for anything and any appointment request is only seen by the nurse. Since what I went to see the GP about has been ongoing for nearly 18mths it is quite worrying and I am having to consider paying for private healthcare.
