Unfortunately neither you or your daughter are registered with Orchard Medical practice, therefore I sorry to say that I am unable to offer a response on this site, regarding your comments about the practice that you are registered with. I have raised this previously with the website moderators who appear not to have taken any action to remove your comments from the wrong practice. You should write to the practice manager of your practice and ask for further information as to why this medication has been stopped Kind regards Practice Manager Orchard Medical Practice

I am really sorry that you feel that you are not receiving the mental health support that you need when consulting with your usual doctor. Unfortunately it is very difficult to look into individual issues when a patient posts an anonymous post as everyone's situation is different. I was pleased to note that we have attempted to book you with the same doctor for continuity of care which is an important aspect of our protocol. However, if you find that the relationship does not work you can ask to see another doctor, it is important to note however that the treatment maybe the same and it might be that your expectations are not achievable but I cannot know this until I know your name. It would be helpful if you could write me a brief letter so that I can look into the situation for you and see if there is anything further that we can do to assist you. Kind regards Andrea Clarke

Review titled Grateful for care.
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have had need of GP help and advice numerous times, and for various conditions over the last year. I have found the whole practice to be very well run. Telephone appointments with both Nurses and Doctors have been easy to arrange and have proven to be very effective. GPs will readily see you if it's deemed necessary. Thank you all at Orchard Street for a wonderful service.

Review titled Abismal Practice
Rated 1 star out of 5

First and foremost the reception staff at this practice or whoever answers their calls needs to go on a customer service training course ASAP because the way they speak to patients is abismal!!! My local pharmacy has been requesting my routine prescription for years now but recently either the practice doesn’t care about their patients or they are blatantly lying because they are not releasing the prescriptions so for 2 weeks now I am going backwards and forwards between the pharmacy and the GP and now the inevitable has happened, I have no medication left. Medication might I add, that I need to survive and yet the only response I got from the GP is “there is nothing I can do”. Wow so who’s job is it to release my prescriptions? I guess if a person collapses in the middle of the street that is alright with them. Now I have to lose a days work, which in the current cost of living crisis let’s agree is less than ideal, to sort out my medication which at this rate I don’t know if I will get it or not! This practice needs a serious review from top to bottom because the way things are being run at the moment someone could get seriously hurt by their sheer lack of competence

Dear Patient, thank you for taking the time to feedback regarding your recent experience. I am sorry that you feel that you are not getting the service that you expect from the practice. I can assure you that the staff here are well trained to deal with all issues regarding prescription requests and will do their best to assist patients if errors occur, which they do on occasion! It is important to note that there are strict safety guidelines regarding the prescribing of medication, especially so with "high risk" medications that can be easily misused. It is our policy to process prescription requests within a maximum period of 72 hours, usually sooner, provided all necessary checks are up to date and that the renewal is due. There are circumstances where some patients are issued repeat medication weekly/daily and can be very frustrated at the control processes that have had to be deployed in helping them to manage their use of medication. As your feedback is anonymous I cannot comment as to why you would be having issues with your repeat requests. If you have further issues please ask to speak to the prescribing clerk that is usually located within the reception area Andrea Clarke Practice Manager
