    I've been diagnosed with adhd since November, since that time I've been trying to get this medical centre to send my medical records to my chosen private company. 4 emails have been sent which they said they haven't received,they refused to accept emails from the company or check spam files so they requested a letter, the letter got sent they said they hadn't received it twice so I was forced to send an email begging for them to check again for the letter and sure enough they found it on the same day but they ignored the letter as it was a request they hadn't received before? Its now June 21st and they've sent the wrong information meaning I will have to wait another month or two at least to get medicated.

    I cannot thank this surgery enough for the care it has given to me, my daughter and my Father. We have only been with them a year and in that time they have given us ten times the care we had at our previous surgery. Right from the reception staff to the pharmacist team to the doctors themselves, I cannot fault one of them.

    I have needed a lot of care since Christmas from the GPS to receptionists cannot do enough to help the Gp has got straight back to me and helped I cannot praise them enough would recommend them to anyone

    Prescription line is always busy, ive rung multiple times over multiple days and its always busy. Yet the phone line is only actually open 9-12, this does not accommodate working people also if it was open longer then im sure there wouldnt be such a busy line and you would be able to order prescriptions needed. Even when rang the surgeries reception and explain politely that i was having trouble getting through and now my son was desperate and needed his adhd meds ordering asap. The receptionist snootily replied phone in the morning !! So not only did she not listen to my problem she still told me to phone in the morning or drop his repeat slip in the box outside. This was not helpfull what so ever !!! why can i not order a repeat prescription at any time during the surgeries hours !?

    Dear Ms Noble Thank you for the feedback regarding your experience of our prescription line. Further to my call with you today we agreed that your experience was not great for which I apologised. Although the prescription line is often very busy we can and do help patients when they come through to reception and I am sorry this did not happen on this occasion. We spoke about having on-line access as a proxy for your sons and I have sent you the relevant form as agreed. This will enable you to order repeat medication at any time of the day which will hopefully make the process much easier for you and your family. James Day Practice Manager

    I was left in tears today after witnessing how rude the receptionist was to an elderly gentleman who had attended the practice that morning to see somebody. She was rude, abrupt and belittled the symptoms he was telling her, cutting him off and saying several times "so basically you've just got sore legs". She did manage to get him an appointment but even the way she told him that was cold and unfeeling. I understand that receptionists have to ask people questions to make sure they put them through to the right person and at times they get verbal abuse which they don't deserve but that doesn't mean to say you treat everybody with the same contempt. The gentleman this morning was very polite to her and the tone she took with him was not called for. I've come across this receptionist on the phone before and thought she was a bit rude but I put it down to that maybe just being her telephone manner but to see it in action face to face today proved me wrong. All that was needed was a little compassion, politeness and some basic customer service skills. I pity anybody who came in to contact with her later on because if she was like that to a patient at 8am, imagine how she could be with somebody towards the end of the day!

    Dear Anonymous Thank you for your review earlier today and I am sorry you have had cause to contact the Practice regards the interaction between an elderly gentleman and a receptionist. I have identified the gentleman who attended the surgery around 0800 yesterday and I have spoken with him today for his response and he is happy for me to post his comments. He told me he “gets on with all the staff up here and he was treated alright yesterday, it’s just the way she speaks” I have also spoken with the receptionist who was on the front desk at the time who is sorry if her manner appeared abrupt and rude. This was not her intention and she will reflect on how she came across. It is very important that patient facing staff are friendly, courteous and efficient when dealing with patients and I am sorry you felt we let this gentleman down on this occasion. We do take complaints seriously and feedback to relevant staff so thank you for making us aware of your concerns. James Day Practice Manager
