  1. Review titled Poor service, receptionists need to be more polite

Rated 3 stars out of 5

The doctors are good, and so are the nurses, but dealing with the receptionists is always a nightmare. Today, I have made an inquiry about this new Patch online (bogus!) service: it never has appointments available, not even at 6.05am ... could it be that it doesn't work properly?!?! Well, the answer has been that 'I need to register', and 'it's self-explanatory'!!!! She didn't even bother asking me if I am already registered with the system, she just assumed and cut me short. And this is not an isolated episode - every time I had to contact the practice there has always some miscommunication. I am happy only when I can use the online service (when that works, that is!) so I can get in touch directly with the doctors, and bypass the guard dogs. Awful customer service, to say the least.

  2. Review titled thorough

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Seen on 2 occasions close together regarding ongoing health issue on both occasions after phone consultation seen in surgery. Was impressed by the speedy response despite surgery being busy both Gp consultations were thorough and to some extent put me at ease. However environment was small a little impersonal and as a result made me feel more anxious during these clinical exams No fault of surgery, done I suspect due to covid infection control safety protocol. Both Dr's were kind and thorough but 2nd consult I was anxious and did not feel totally understood or same level empathy as have done in past, felt some stress from own anxiety and a stressed reaction from Dr to my concerns, as surgery was busy and seen at short notice I felt maybe there were other things going on and in the end despite feeling medically reassured left uncertain of an outcome to my ongoing problems. I was later seen by another Gp who though thorough was not my usual one and there was a disconnect in this for me.I was upset and a couple of hand towels were shoved at me. I do understand that the Dr's can only do what they can in short time but I feel sad that in expressing my anxiety I was given a different Dr that I did not know, though very good it was a clinical and somewhat detached experience. This can't be helped I get it and this has caused some reflection on my own mental anxiety and needs and how best they can be addressed I do not want this experience to hinder me seeking necessary support though. I appreciate this surgery and all it's staff and medical staff immensely but I think it is vital as a patient that I can express my concerns regarding ongoing sx that are physical that are not psychogenic in origin even if they exacerbate anxiety when unresolved, mind and body go hand in hand but which comes first? clearly they are in tandem and a patient no matter how tiresome needs their symptoms investigated if they continue. I am feel fortunate to be with this practice and despite a recent momentary lapse am pleased to continue being a patient here. Thank you particular to my regular Gp's for all you do. In the main I am satisfied with being heard and being treated thoroughly. I also understand it is not always possible to have the same named dr but where possible for continuity purposes this helps with follow up and further treatment.

  3. Review titled Poor practice

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I was diagnosed with Helicobacter Pylori on Nov 2022, they treated me twice, but the bacteria remains positive. I have been telling my GP that I have stomach pain since Nov 2022, we are April 2023 and I kindly asked them if I could be referred to an specialist, they did but as routine, and to get an appointment is between 3 to 6 months, so I have to keep waiting, even though I have been sending so many E-consultations they keep sending me text messages saying that a doctor will call me two days after? I really do not understand, I am in pain since Nov 2022.
