Not often I need to see a GP but needed 2 appointments in last 2 weeks. We got through to reception by phone quickly and were offered an appointment the same day each time, both appointments were before 10am

I rang to make an appointment today and we the patient are advised to speak to staff with respect well today the receptionist was rude and tried to escalate the situation where I found it difficult to be respectful because I was getting the same back. I have been with the practice for a number of years and this is the first time I felt I wasn’t heard and her attitude made me very upset.

My wife called at 14.00 on 01.09.2023. Answer was she was held in a queue of one, After fifty minutes she was still number one in the q and someone spoke but they then discontinued the call, She was unable to speak to anyone.

The wait for a phone call to be answered is very long, and the message you hear just isn't true! You can't click on the eConsult banner...not present You can't book appointments via the system one log in The only access is via the phone or the new software system patchs (university start up company), (lower case because the review website demands it) The front end ie reception, needs sorting out by the GPs or the practice manager.

I have never really needed any medical care until recently but my experience with this practice has been great. I have found the reception team to be very pleasant and helpful every time I have spoken to them. The care I have received from the GP and other members of the team has genuinely been fantastic, I have felt well-informed, reassured and well-looked after throughout my treatment. I would highly recommend this surgery to anyone!
