Terrible service. Ordered repeat prescription and although I had none left they refused till had bloods done even though when they called me about bloods (after I had ordered my repeat) I took first available appointment. With no warning that they would stop my meds So am left from Friday with none, had bloods done on Monday and its Tuesday now so I have had no medication for5 days . If they need bloods done before renewing your prescription they should give you advance warning before you are due to get your medication not when you have run out and need to get them. At the age of almost seventy I feel it was an awful and stressful experience to have been put though . I guess they think its ok to leave someone with their medication . Shame about this surgery as it used to be a very nice place and had very nice staff.

Review titled Rubbish service

Left to wait 38 minutes for an appointment. No apology or remorse. People have jobs to attend to, people who use their lunch breaks to attend appointments. The surgery is quick to penalise people for turning up late but there’s not even an apology for delay caused by the surgery itself. 38 minutes is a joke. If this continues then I’ll have to move myself and my family to a different practice. Park medical need to be audited.

Review titled First-rate follow up
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Geoffrey Thomas - Posted on 25 August 2023
I saw a doctor regarding a skin condition on 21 July. The doctor checked all relevant correspondence from the hospital which had treated the condition in 2019. Medication was prescribed. Today I received a follow-up call from the doctor; because the condition has persisted, we agreed a programme of further action. I much appreciated the patient-care involved in following up on my condition and in arranging for the next steps to be taken. Altogether a satisfactory, a first-rate, patient-experience.

Review titled Appalling Practice- stay away
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Ella - Posted on 16 March 2023
Appalling!! After 17 years being with this practice, I had no choice and look for better GP practice. Since Bretton Medical has taken over, this place is no longer a GP practice, as no GP does work there ( never had a chance to speak to one recently)and even the prescriptions are being issued without speaking to a patient first! Also, do not even bother calling them, as the phones are being manned by Bretton and not Park medical and you cant just speak to the reception. The best bet is to make your journey to the practise and wait in the queue to see if you can get a phone call back from a nurse ( not GP) So if you can stay away from this place and look elsewhere

Impossibe to contact. Last example waited half hour being number 2 in the queue, another half hour as number 1 in queue, then told that the queue was at limit and cut off. Then spent rest of afternoon trying to get into the queue again. Just chasing up a call after having an Xray two weeks ago. Really not good eneough!!

Review titled No longer fit for purpose
Rated 1 star out of 5

Unfortunately this practise is no longer fit for service, it is incredibly hard to get through to a receptionist let alone book an appointment, which can leave people feeling stressed, upset and dejected. Appointments by the way are now phone calls that are received later than scheduled and are incredibly brief. You are usually directed by the automatic message at the start of the call to try the online service, which would be a nice alternative, but the online service doesn't actually work. Whilst we all understand the pressures the NHS face at the moment, it does perplex me that any organisation let alone a DR's surgery can be run so dysfunctionally.
