The nurse and doctor doing my procedure really put me at ease and made me feel very comfortable. They were friendly and very welcoming which makes such a difference. Thank you.

After reflecting on why the surgery accused me of frequently making and canceling appointments, I now understand the basis for their claim!!! I would like to explain the situation clearly, as their actions came across as dismissive and even manipulative. Following my blood test and fecal immunochemical test, I booked a phone consultation to discuss my abdominal issues. Securing this appointment was already challenging, as I had to wait several days for an available slot. However, the surgery unilaterally changed my scheduled phone consultation to a face-to-face appointment on the same day. Despite my explaining that the new time did not work with my work hours, the change was made without consideration for my situation. After calling to clarify, the surgery eventually reverted the appointment back to a phone consultation, but only after some back-and-forth. In their response to my original concern, they unfairly blamed me for cancellations, as though I had caused the issue. This additional information highlights how the surgery mishandled the situation and then tried to shift the blame onto me. This lack of accountability is both unfair and deeply frustrating.

My original review: I am writing to raise concerns about the service I have received at your practice, particularly regarding the experience with your reception team and the difficulty of securing appointments. Firstly, I was advised by a helpful receptionist to call at 8:00 a.m. to secure a face-to-face appointment since I had repeatedly found no slots available online. Following this advice, I called exactly at 8:00 a.m., only to wait for over 30 minutes for someone to answer my call, despite being the first caller in the queue. This delay caused me to be late for work, which is highly inconvenient as I am a therapist working with students who have learning difficulties and absences disrupt my students’ schedules. After finally reaching someone, I was initially told there were no appointments available. I insisted on a solution, and eventually, the receptionist "magically" managed to find an appointment. This was frustrating as it suggested inconsistency in the information provided. After having my tests done, I managed to book a phone consultation with a very pleasant doctor. She recommended that I have a face-to-face appointment to examine my bloating and abdominal discomfort. However, when I tried to follow her advice, there no slots were available. I resorted to emailing the practice to explain my situation, only to wait five days for a reply, which stated that you do not offer appointments via email. This lack of support and empathy has made accessing healthcare extremely difficult, particularly for someone with a demanding work schedule.

I had a Medical for my Hgv/Driving License renewal, I was seen by a Doctor had the medical with no problems at all,The reception staff were polite and friendly

I just spoke to a very rude receptionist who would not contact the doctor for me, despite the fact that I have been seeing them about the same issue for the last two months. I have been into the practice about this and I’ve had multiple phone calls and they had said to contact them to do further tests if the issue was still there. I called the surgery to explain this and they have been very unhelpful. Avoid this surgery if you can.

Saw a doctor yesterday at short notice. Appointment arranged same day. She was an absolute delight. Very thorough and an excellent communicator. She followed up with a telephone call later in the day as planned. The whole experience was refreshing and demonstrates that this practice can provide at a high service level.

I recently had a couple of weeks whereby I was ill myself as well as my two children and I relied heavily on Parkfield Medical centre for appointments. Parkfield Medical Centre were both friendly and helpful. It is important to remember how busy the NHS are but Parkfield always manage to help me with getting an appointment and the GP's, as well as the administrative staff, are both professional and personable. Thank you

Despite general negativity in GP Practices throughout the country I can only provide positivity with my feedback for Parkfield Medical Centre, The Walks, Potters Bar. My experience during this last week with the receptionist, and GP was first class. They were helpful, understanding and prepared to go the extra mile. How refreshing! I have no hesitation in commending the practice.

Whilst most Dr here are great. The receptionists and the service for getting appointments are not! Walked into the practice to book an appointment for a few weeks time as it wasn't anything super urgent. Was told I had to ring before 8 the next day to make an appointment, which in itself is ridiculous. Took me a couple of hours the following day before I got through, by then all appointments were gone. I tried asking and complaining to the receptionist asking how anyone was supposed to book an appointment if this is how they now ran the system. She refused to acknowledge my question and just kept repeating "call back tomorrow before 8am for an appointment" to the point were I found it incredibly rude and insulting. Although her tune changed when I pointed out the DR had requested this appointment. Trying to use the patient access is also a joke as 9 times out of 10, there are no appointments available and if they are, they are released randomly!!! In short, if you'd like to feel like an unwanted customer like businesses do, come here! If you'd actually like to be seen by a Dr for a medical concerns, I'd recommend registering elsewhere!

I have registered with Parkfield surgery, since October 2015. My neighbours recommend me to Parkfield surgery. I find the receptionist very polite and very helpful. I have seen different Doctors at times, but they are all very good to care of their patients. I have no problem getting appointments on the phone and face to face if need be. Overall it's a fantastic surgery.
