  1. Review titled Very unhappy with the service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 April 2025

I am extremely unhappy with how i was treated by the team at Parklands. I struggled to get an appointment for my 8month old baby who was struggling with a wheezy chest. I called numerous times and was told that a GP would call me to consult over the phone then i had to wait all day for them to call me back and say if i am concerned i should take my baby to A&E. I sat all day with a baby with a wheezing chest all for them to tell me if i was that worried i should take her to A&E?? extremely unprofessional and lack empathy.

  2. Review titled Cervical Screening Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Wonderful service! 100% would recommend. Quickest, easiest, most comfortable smear test I’ve ever had in my life. Very friendly and actually listens to you. More women would accept this valuable service if they knew this was to be their experience. Thank you! 😊

  3. Review titled Seriously quality help & service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Paul Innes - Posted on 26 March 2025

I have nothing but praise & thanks for the friendly professional, prompt & intervention support from the surgery’s para medic to sort out a detailed series of tests at a point when I was seriously concerned about my health & the earliest GP appointment was not available for at least 3 weeks. His reassuring help & support was superb & he is a total asset to the practice - in addition his follow up action was brilliant. He has helped me enormously & deserves mega thanks kind regards Paul Innes

  4. Review titled Appointment rescheduled four times in two days

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Satinder Ahluwalia - Posted on 21 October 2024

The appointment has been changed four times in two days between the triage clinician and Gp. I was informed on the phone that it is a Gp-related issue and I need to book through the website. I booked through the website, and the appointment has been booked with a triage clinician. Very confusing and not easy for the patient to keep adjusting and keeping track of so many changes.

  5. Review titled Friendly and efficient

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Philip Mark Loveridge - Posted on 18 October 2024

I saw a nurse for a blood test and a swab. Very friendly which would help those that don't like needles. Very gentle. Test results started to arrive later the same day more the morning after. Received a follow up message say all was good with the blood test. The nurse had offered to call to explain. Swab test results received, reviewed by a doctor an message sent out telling me that a prescription was sent to the local pharmacy. Difficult to image how they could improve. The form doesn't like names so I removed the name of the nurse - her name starts with a J she deserves credit.

  6. Review titled Highly recommended

Rated 5 stars out of 5

If you’ve ever wondered how a doctor’s surgery should be run, look no further as my experience with the Parklands surgery has been faultless Fast, efficient friendly staff Sometimes the wait on the phone can be a little long but rarely so, once through the process is spot on During a recent visit I saw the paramedic, visited the hospital for an x-ray and collected my prescription all within two and a half hours Fantastic, keep up the good work

  7. Review titled Very helpful receptionist

Rated 4 stars out of 5

    by Jenny-lee Parkin - Posted on 13 September 2024

The lady on the prescription line was extremely helpful and understanding when I needed an emergency prescription hours before travelling due to discontinued medicine. She did everything she could to help and I managed to get the medicine i needed, without her help I would of had to travel without it. Thank you to the receptionist and the Dr, you are a both superstars!

Today I met a new doctor for the first time. She was extremely kind, helpful and gave me good advice. I left the surgery feeling that I was in safe hands with a professional. I would also like to thank the ladies on reception who are always polite and helpful even when things get stressful. Many thanks to you all. Sally Symons

  10. Review titled Very prompt service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 30 July 2024

I had surgery and radiotherapy for cancer in my left breast two and half years ago. Yesterday tea time I found a lump under my left arm which I had not noticed before. I was obviously very concerned and rang Parklands Surgery, 15 minutes walk away from where I live, at 5.30pm. The very helpful receptionist went to consult someone and she came back and offered me a face-to-face appointment immediately. One of the GPS had agreed to fit me in so that I wouldn’t have to wait a couple of days to be seen - by which my stress levels would have soared. He examined my breast and asked me lots of questions, told me that he did not think it was anything too serious as it felt like a swollen gland which could be as a result of an infection. At the same time he referred me to the Treatment Centre at our local hospital where I had my original surgery so that the problem could be checked out asap. Obviously I will be concerned until I have further detailed checks but it was so wonderful to have such an immediate, reassuring and helpful consultation. I am truly grateful.
