  1. Review titled dreadful telephone answering service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 October 2023

Still waiting on the phone, 1 hour and 10 mins after dialling. I started off as caller number 9, an hour later I am caller number 1, still waiting... Only 9 calls can be dealt with in over an hour? If that happened in my practice, I would seriously deal with it. Unacceptable.

  2. Review titled Dreadful service even for children

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I have now spent over 2 hours on the phone trying to get my daughters test results each time taking more than 35mins to even get through on the phone despite only being 5th in the call queue. I’ve now been waiting a week for them yet no one is able to chaise them and ring me once they have them I have to call back every day (waiting at least 30mins) to be told they’re still not in, what a ridiculous waste of everyone’s time. Why don’t you just ring patients once you have the results surely that makes much more sense.

  3. Review titled Disgusting

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 01 September 2023

After being put on a 2 week priority appointment list. I was given a blood test that could have filled a blood bank. The results were rushed through and a GP issued a prescription within 12 hours of having the test. I have been given appointments for the next week at both GP surgery and hospital. I received a text from the surgery telling me that a prescription had been raised. I went to collect my prescription only to be told that it was at a pharmacy in London?? I live in Cambridgeshire. The receptionist patronised my by insisting that I usually collected my prescription from the pharmacy in question. I told her numerous times that I had never collected from anywhere else except the pharmacy next door to the surgery. She then sought help from her colleague who then told me that the prescription had been cancelled and that another had been raised for collection at the pharmacy next door. I was then told that the prescription would not be available until Monday. I then asked the receptionist to inform the GP who had raised the prescription that I would have to wait another 3 days before I could take it. The receptionist then said “it’s only for folic acid, it’s not that important “ If I was diabetic and the prescription was for insulin would that attitude be the same? I tried to explain that she had no idea what I was going through and that the various tests that were being rushed through for me were obviously for a reason. She shrugged her shoulders and looked down at her computer. How are we expected to be kind to these people when they are so dismissive of the patients? The receptionist’s seem to be under the impression that they have the same qualifications as the GP’s and that we the patients are interrupting their day! Totally unacceptable and disrespectful.

  4. Review titled Inadequate care

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Sian - Posted on 06 June 2023

I have been registered at Parson Drove Surgery since birth, I am now 32 and have seen a massive decline in care over the last 4 years. Current issues: - It is near on impossible to get a face to face appointment, including for children. Children are not prioritised at all. Just today, I called for an appointment for my daughter who is under 2 years old, no face to face appointments available (I was 18th in the call queue), the Dr. called back. He didn’t even ask to see photos of my daughters problem before diagnosing it as an allergy and told to give her Piriton. -The surgery is over subscribed but also have minimal full time Doctors working which makes it even harder to get an appointment. - Contact from the surgery if there is an issue with prescribing medication isn’t great, you hear nothing until you call them to query, meaning you could be waiting another day to get a prescription you need for infections and other issues. - Wait times when you call are really long, even when you call outside of peak times. -Reception staff can be very rude and dismissive on the phone, yet expect patients to treat them kindly. - Doctors leave emails from other medical professional unread meaning medication and other issues can be missed. Overall, the level of care has dropping significantly in recent years.

  5. Review titled good experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 31 May 2023

Rang the GP practice with a query. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful; they phoned back the same day with an answer and arranged an appt with a nurse who was great. Also recently made contact with the GP who was supportive, so overall a positive experience.

  6. Review titled Waiting for call from doctor for 6 weeks

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 May 2023

I have been waiting for a call back from Doctor W for weeks. Despite putting my concerns in a letter to him, he has not had the decency to contact me despite speaking to the receptionists 5/6 times. A complete disregard for a worried patient. The reception team never ring you back. However the nurses in the practice are very good. I can't imagine why they are enlarging practice, they can't cope now!

  7. Review titled Receptionists are extremely rude and uncaring

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 May 2023

The nurses are lovely and some Doctors ok, if you can get past the very very rude receptionists who totally lack any compassion, they are overblown self important individuals who are stroppy from the second you walk in. They do not care how ill you are, the recorded message says please be kind to our reception staff , perhaps they should be trained to be kind and polite to their patients. I will have to leave the practice after 30 plus years as I cannot be treated so badly when I feel ill and weak, it is not acceptable to be shouted at by them, not sure who they think they are

  8. Review titled Awful telephone service, long hold times..

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Nathalie Crick - Posted on 09 January 2024

Trying to get through on the phone is impossible, on hold for a ridiculous length of time, only to be hung up on straight away if the call doesn't connect immediately. I had issues with being numb on left side and I was told to call 111 without my name even being taken....
