I have these appointments to be extremely useful. Time and dedication the staff give is fantastic. Lots helpful advise and support. However the booking system for the group practice as a whole is very lacking and it is almost impossible to get an appointment or econsult. Elderly patents find it extremely hard to get an appointment and not able to cope with online systems.

We are thrilled to hear that you have found it useful and will pass your comments onto the HCA team who deliver this service. eConsult is in high demand, but we are still processing hundreds each week. We have processes in place for those who may struggle to use online or telephone, as well as a fantastic care coordination team for those who are identified as being particularly vulnerable.

Enquired about having my shingles vaccination now that I am 70. Was informed by the receptionist and HCA (after my B12 routine jab) that I would need to go to Cosham Park House Surgery as they provided a "walk in" facility. Visited CPH on 10.02.2023 and was told - "This is not a walk in facility.. you should not have been told this!". Was informed that I would to wait for a formal invitation in order to book jab - which may take 3-4 months! All I want is my Shingles vaccination for protection now that I am eligible.

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry you were given conflicting information. We have passed this onto the Cosham and Paulsgrove Surgery Team Leader to ensure all staff provide consistent messaging. Unfortunately, the national comms do highlight that patients are eligible from Aged 70 to 79. Unfortunately, we are given eligibility criteria with date of birth ranges with does cause discrepancy. Current eligible patients are born between 1/9/44 and 1/4/52. If you fall within this criteria then please do contact the Complaints team on 023 9262 7765. Otherwise, if you have only recently turned 70, please be assured that you will likely be contacted in early April. If you are worried that you may miss out on the shingles vaccination, contact your GP surgery to arrange an appointment to have the vaccine.

I had got in a muddle with my diary arriving at the wrong time. The lovely receptionist managed to get me in for a fasting blood test at Cosham so I didn’t have to fast for another evening. All done with a smile, super service!

My appointment was very good, I felt that the questions asked and advise I received were helpful and suited to my needs. My issues and fears were addressed in a kind and thoughtful manner and at no time did I feel awkward or embarrassed.

Receptionist was extremely helpful. Was seen on time, the doctor was helpful, understanding and not judgmental at all. I was made to feel supported and comfortable during my appointment. My doctor listened to me and made me an appointment I have been waiting for.
