  1. Review titled Terrible service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by MARE LIIVA - Posted on 09 November 2023

I was calling to Stansted Mountfitchet Surgery and explained as I was accidentally burnt my arm and I 'd like the nurse or doctor appointment because the medicine, what I used, makes my arm worse, it is swelling and inflamed after I used the medicine, named "Burnshield"for burnt care.I explained it for receptionist, after that She said as I needed to come to Harlow Hospital emergency. I was explaining again my situation as I burnt my arm many days ago,and it is swollen and there are inflammation, but She again told me as I needed to go to Harlow Hospital emergency. It's awful, I don't have words,as I explained twice and asked local GP appointment I don't see any reason come to Harlow Hospital. There is lack of empathy and lack of hearing patients. Worse experience at reception what I have at full of my life.

Ms Liiva, I have now listened to all the relevant calls you made to the surgery on 9 November 2023. None of the staff you spoke to asked you to attend Harlow A&E. You were asked to attend Herts and Essex Minor Injuries Unit, which is 4.1 miles from your home, and offers a walk in service. GP Surgeries are instructed by NHS England to signpost patients to the most appropriate NHS Service, and as you will see from the link, our local minor injury unit is commissioned to look at burns and scalds - https://hertsandwestessex.icb.nhs.uk/local-servcies/urgent-treatment-minor-injuries/3 We are disappointed that you have left such a scathing report, based on incorrect information, and not reflective of the service your receive from us. In addition, you were seen my our Practice Nurse and a GP on the same day. I understand that you may have misunderstood our team, but I would like you to make an appointment to come see me at the surgery, by emailing stansted.surgery@nhs.net Until we have had a chance to listen to the phone calls together, I request that you delete this review, as it is not reflective of the events. 2. Review titled Outstanding Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have not been with the Surgery for long and each time I phone I am treated with kindness and respect from the reception team. Today I had 3 different contacts with the Surgery, a Nurse appointment for myself, my sons 16 week Jabs and an additional phone call with a GP for my son. The Nurse was very knowledgeable and provided me with all the information I would need before carrying out any procedures plus she was fabulous when dealing with my crying boy. The GP was also very professional and had issued a prescription before we had even finished the call. Well done, you are a great practice and all doing a fabulous job.

This is the best surgery i have ever had the pleasure to experience. Reception staff are so nice, friendly and helpful. The Dr's as a whole are amazing. Very understanding very helpful and go out there was to help with whatever issue you have. I honestly cant thank them enough. I deal with Dr surgeys on a daily basis as part of my job and i cant compare not one with Stansted Surgery as they are on a different level. Thank you all so much

  4. Review titled Been wanting to see a doctor since I joined in Aug 2021

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Bernadette Stanislaus - Posted on 28 December 2022

I have been calling since Aug 2021 to see a doctor and they have never given me an appointment. I am diabetic and I keep asking for a blood test since Dec 2021 and still nothing I have been sick past 3 weeks now and still can't give me an appointment. Do I have to die for them first ? I had to Google my symptoms and I may have pneumonia or bronchitis still they can't see me. What's the point of being registered there if you can't even see a single doctor. Worst gp I have ever been with. I would never ever recommend it

Dear Bernadette Stanislaus Thank you for your comments. We think it is unfair that you have left such a scathing review without having gone through the surgery's complaints process first. If you wish to make a formal complaint, please email me at stansted.surgery@nhs.net, or contact the surgery to make an appointment to see me. Our records do not reflect what you have stated in your review, therefore I do not feel I can comment further on your review. I request that you delete this review, and if you still feel the same after we have dealt with a formal complaint from you, you can repeat your review. We are doing our very best to deal with unprecedented demand for our services, and we have given you care every time you have requested it. Teresa Buglass, Practice Manager
