Review titled Very prompt service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Sandra Ringrose - Posted on 23 August 2024
The very next day after I had my blood test at home, I was contacted by my GP surgery to arrange a telephone consult with my GP to discuss the results! The appointment was for the following day (so only 2 days after the blood test!) I had not spoken to the GP before but he was very kind and clear and I was happy with his plan for me going forward

Review titled Great staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Elaine Breeden - Posted on 22 August 2024
The practice appears to be changing procedures constantly to try to improve services to patients. I now mostly use emails to contact the surgery which avoids any potential wait for phones to be answered. Today I emailed the surgery and within an hour I had had my request re blood forms answered completely satisfactorily. I want to thank the Gp for that. I recommend using the email facility to everyone where appropriate. I find all the staff really helpful and pleasant now and many are absolutely exceptional. There will of course always be some problems, but from what I see of my daughter’s surgery in Wylde Green we are really quite fortunate!

I felt them Dr understood my predicament. And talked me through my options abt my situation. The only downside is the length of time getting an appointment with a certain doctor of my choice.this is not a disregard for othe drs.

Review titled Disappointed
Rated 3 stars out of 5

No examination/test of where pain is felt on the body. Offered no diagnosis or reason for being in pain and having trouble walking. Felt I had to force the issue to get an MRI scan even though I am not if sure if that is what is needed. No blood tests taken. Told if pain is to much to go and block A&E as they will arrange for tests. Only thing really offered is pain killers no suggestions of why I am in pain and waking up during the night in pain.

Review titled Disgusting service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Karen Shaw - Posted on 31 May 2024
My sister has been ill for nearly 5 weeks now with bronchitis, a chest infection, a severe sore throat and cough and nothing seems to be helping. She took ill in Spain and the treatment she received was second to none however back in the UK this surgery have done nothing to help solve what could be potentially wrong, she queued for 20 minutes outside the surgery this morning only to be told by a man on the desk no you can’t have an appointment until you have had a phone appointment first!!! What the hell, she then ten minutes later got her phone call from a male doctor who was absolutely dismissive of my sisters health, how the hell does he know what’s going on in her throat if he doesn’t see her! I’m absolutely disgusted that we get this treatment in this country I live three hours away from her and she is on her own so I worry even more, she has worked since she was 15 years old and more than paid into the health service so at least give the poor girl an appointment, it’s no wonder everyone goes to urgent care and I bet the Doctors love it it’s less patients for them to see angry beyond words 🤬🤬

Review titled Brilliant
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Cannot fault the care here. Been registered for all members of the family for a number of years and never had a negative experience - friendly, sensible, efficient. Never an issue getting appointments. Only problem can be long waits on the phone but can pop in to get an appointment if able also.

Review titled Poor customer service
Rated 1 star out of 5

Long wait times when ringing surgery, often calling off due to reception not answering phones. Tried to get Drs appointment brought forward, using online service, there's a 16 week wait, phoned Kingsbury surgery twice got through was 5th in queue, after 15 minutes called off. I phoned later, when not so busy, reception didn't answer. I don't use Hurley Surgery, because they didn't have my meds done when I went for them, so I order online and get them delivered. I requested a urgent telephone appointment, explained I had Shingles, you'd think I would be offered a home visit, no had to ask my neighbour to take a photo of rash! I was invited to have Asthma review the appointment was for face to face at surgery, reminder read telephone, I had to ring to clarify. I made a Drs appointment at Kingsbury, received a text changing the Dr and surgery to Hurley. I have a Muscular Skeletal condition and suffer from chronic pain and fatigue, it's very distressing when you can't get through to reception and online your not able to book an appointment for 4 months! This is not acceptable!

Review titled Will not answer phone
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 01 June 2023
I tried to ring the Surgery but after 45 minutes I was still waiting for someone to answer the phone, I put the phone down and tried again only to be informed I was no.6 in the queue. I visited the Surgery in person 10 minutes after trying to ring thinking that they must be extemely busy but to my amazement the waiting room and reception was completely empty with 4 people behind the reception desk!! I am at a loss to understand why no one would pick up the phone and feel very sorry for elderly patients who rely on the phone and cannot get to the Surgery in person to make an appointment. I cannot understand why this contemptuous situation is allowed to persist, an absolute disgrace.

Review titled Horrendous phone line system
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Jackie - Posted on 19 June 2023
Unfortunately the reception system here let's down the whole practice. Today I spent 3 hours on hold to then be disconnected! This is not the first time. On average it takes one hour to speak to a human if the phone loop lets you through. I have found most of my dealings with Kingsbury reception disappointing to say the least. Please please please update your phone systems and bring in people that have pride and customer service as their top priority. All doctors I have had dealings with have been amazing!

Review titled Amazing service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Linda Howell - Posted on 06 April 2023
I was very concerned about a mole that had appeared in the last year or so and a friend who was a retired nurse commented that I should get it looked at. I popped into the surgery today to ask for advice as I was worried. The receptionist offered to notify the duty doctor to see what could be done. Within 10 minutes I had a message from the doctor requesting a photo of it. I sent it and had a message quite quickly reassuring me that doctor wasn’t concerned and he told me what he thought it was and offering an appointment to discuss options. The surgery rang me straight away and I was offered an appointment in a few weeks time. All sorted within about 40 minutes!! Most impressed with the service and happy to be with this practice. I’ve only been with you for about a year and so glad I changed. Thank you. The only frustration is how long it takes to get through by phone. I now pop in rather than wait so long.
