Review titled Ridiculous wait times for simple appointments
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 21 February 2025
All I needed was a simple letter from my GP regarding my asthma to submit to my golf club, something I've had all my life, and would be clear in the notes. But no, it can't be that simple can it? Instead get booked an appointment for 2 weeks away, on a day that is inconvenient, without actually discussing with me first when would be a good time. I call to explain that the situation is simple, and I just need a letter for my golf club, but am told that I have to have an appointment with the GP to discuss the symptoms etc. Why?! It's asthma! Ongoing! It's in my records! Just write the letter, it isn't complicated! Just a joke really, always just send texts despite requesting a phone call specifically, never a same or next day appointment despite the surgery being absolutely deserted every time I've been in there. Just a very poor service all round. I told them to cancel the appointment, and I have booked through a private service my company provides instead, which coincidentally I had to do to get a consultant referral recently, also for my asthma. Absolute joke of a service.

Review titled Great GP
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 07 February 2025
I have received a very caring and professional health care treatment and advice from the practice. My GP spent time giving me medical supplies to resolve conditions, after listening to my concerns. She is a very experienced and thoughtful doctor who has taken into consideration the complete person rather than a symptom alone. I feel full confidence in her and have developed respect for her as a doctor and a person and has supported me through a very challenging time.

Review titled Wonderful care
Rated 4 stars out of 5

the children’s nurse has been amazing with my children. She has taken the time to build a rapport over the last year or so making my children feel comfortable and safe. My youngest is very wary of doctors and nurses from spending her first year in hospitals but this nurse listens and actually knows how my children react and how their symptoms show making the treatment on time without wasting time. Unfortunately my children suffer regular infections and she has wonderful service remembering us, how to relax them, how they react, how symptoms show and fully listens to everything. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt this way since both my family doctors retired so it’s wonderful to have this for my children.

Review titled Patients are not a priority
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 03 October 2024
I have been with this surgery for around 4 years and the service is not great. The building is always empty as patients are directed to do everything online or by phone. Today I asked if I could leave a water test as a home dip stick test was showing a UTI but I was given a sheet with a website address to book this in though I was already there at the surgery! I explained that I did not want to return again when I knew I would be asked to provide a water sample. I have also tried several times to have access to my records online but the staff don't seem to know the process for this. The Moors Walk branch is now closed on a Friday afternoon - presumably because since Covid the doctors rarely come in. By contrast my partner is with Bridge Cottage surgery which provides a much better service though is a short drive away - I chose Moors Walk for the convenience of being able to walk to it but that's not much use when you can never be seen!

Review titled Doctor was very rude
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Paul T - Posted on 28 September 2024
The doc I spoke to on phone on Thursday morning (26/09/2024) was very rude. Kept blaming me for the treatment/tests I need taking so long when it actually down to the gp making an issue previously. They didn’t listen and just stuck to what they said originally without a care and with rudeness .couldn’t even fill out the fit note correctly. Not the first time I’ve had a conversation with them, it’s like it’s too much bother for them to help and just want to blame and insult , kinda got the impression they thought I was lying too. If you can’t talk to a doctor for help who can you? Actually feel worse after talking to said doc than before I did . Not the way its supposed to go is it? Their initials are j g.

Review titled Good service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Michael B - Posted on 16 September 2024
All involved go the extra mile to give a caring efficient service. As an older citizen I find this practice and their service very reassuring. My second shingles vacine was on time and at my preferred hour.

Review titled Not good experience if you need help
Rated 2 stars out of 5

At Peartree Lane surgery everything is online even GP recorded message points you in this direction. I feel very concerned for people that do not have access to the internet and unable to do this. I tried twice to submit admin request for holiday medication online to top up a couple of meds that would run out. Although a text received later stating they were at the chemist -they never got there. I had to go into the surgery yesterday to try and sort this out - which kind of defeats the purpose of on-line. Met by lovely receptionist who more or less told me that the meds would not run out even although I tried to explain that this has been an ongoing issue. Everyones experience is different- I am sure but I feel this practice is not going in the right direction to serve the people who genuinely need it.

Review titled Very supportive staff all round
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have had to navigate the care of my elderly parents from 75 miles away and crisis visits. Peartree Surgery Group have without exception provided calm, kind and helpful service when we have needed them. Their support has been prompt and understanding. Recently, my mother became unwell and I contacted via the new computer system. I received a call from the doctor and an appointment at the surgery later that day. She received a comprehensive examination and blood tests, Xrays ordered. These were immediately available at QE11and undertaken on the same afternoon. Brilliant! results to Dr. and next day a plan of action.

Review titled Awful and getting worse

Was giving appointment with in-house Physiotherapist and the experience was appalling. She was incoherent, uninterested and unhelpful. This was the same experience with two other members of my family.
