    Appointment made and on time. Advice given and follow up to be arranged. Computer system may need sorting as 5 days later requested to make an appointment as "I hadn't been reviewed in the last two years".

    Dear Laurence Freeman, Thank you for your feedback.  You're spot on about our computer system.  It appears that an automated reminder text was sent erroneously for your annual asthma review.  Underscores computers make errors too and cannot replace the checking behaviours of humans!     I felt I must leave a review of my experience today which was very positive. I found the person I had an appointment with exceptionally supportive and genuinely caring. They listened to me and gave me time to speak about my situation as a carer to my husband. They suggested counselling and it is something I will think about. They told me that the surgery is there for me if I ever need. When I left the surgery I actually felt ‘lighter’ and realised how it helped me ‘off-loading’ to someone. I have a large family and big circle of friends, but after 6 years of being a carer I feel I don’t want to ‘burden’ them anymore with how I’m feeling… they also have to deal with their own feelings of ‘loosing’ a father, brother, uncle, friend. Thank you to the person I saw at the surgery today… I felt not so alone.

    I had a medical problem that was worrying me and got an appointment to see a GP straight away. Very kind helpful receptionist. Instantly referred to outpatient appt, amazing fast through very impressive system. The outcome was nothing to worry about thank goodness. The whole experience was like being a private patient, so fast, so well organised and really impressive. NHS and Penshurst Garden Surgery well done and thank you, amazing service on all levels, very grateful!!!
