The doctors are fantastic and I was very happy with the surgery. However they have recently introduced a booking system that is very difficult to use and they won't make an appointment by telephone or face to face so it effectively means you can't book suitable appointments. I hope they go back to normal ASAP.

Don’t bother registering you will never get an appointment. Phones never answered, no appointments available. Even if you go in to the surgery they refuse to book an appointment and you have to do via anima online booking which is impossible to set up. And still shows no availability in a 2 wk period. Receptionists normal gate keepers who are clearly fed up but are incredibly unhelpful. They don’t seem busy so can’t see why they can’t book an appointment for you in person. Comfy waiting chairs though - which you will need if you do manage to get an appointment as they are always late.

I tried to request an appointment to see a Dr using Anima. This is a very poor system. It did not ask if I was disabled with a long term complaint untill near the end. If this question was asked near the start it would have saved me a lot of time. No appointment was offer, Anima will get back in 5 days. How does that help me, I will now go and try and book on the phone. I was also concerned the system collects a lot of personal info, how secure is this info? Barrie Moss.

I understand you have now spoken to our Patient Services Lead regarding the feedback and she has answered your questions and hopefully provided you with more information regarding the Anima system. Trying to reach the surgery to ask an urgent question about my late father, so I can get his affairs in order. Most of the time the line is engaged, and when it's not and I get through to an automated queuing system the system seems to pass me on to an actual telephone line, which then rings for 50+ rings without being answered. I don't mind being on hold for ages -- I understand they're busy, and I know they don't answer the phone during certain times -- but if there's an automated queue, why is the line sometimes engaged and why, when I'm put through to a phone does it just ring and ring? Unfortunately I have no other way of contacting them -- no email, and the Anima service is no good for me as I'm not the patient. It feels like the system is set up to discourage people calling.

Dear Doctor Thank you so much for your kind and professional attention yesterday - it absolutely turned me around. I had a lightbulb moment after my consultation with you and feel genuine gratitude and positivity again for the first time in months. The whole staff were supportive, understanding and non-judgmental. Thank you so much, I'm so grateful. (I really do include in my appreciation, the staff who also paddle away behind the scenes) Thank you.

I rang to book an appointment for my teenage child for something that does not seem right. The receptioniost was really professional and caring, gave me an appointment for the same week. The Dr. that consulted, was not interested in anything I had to say and after having a short chat with my child without examining them dismissed them and said there was nothing amiss. I have taken my child to another Doctor. who did a thorough examination and requested some tests that he thought were necessary.

It appears that to make an appointment you have to answer personal questions from the receptionist, very loudly as they can't hear! The answers, surely, were confidential, in front of the people in the waiting room, together with two questions asking me what I thought was wrong with me. If I knew, I wouldn't be trying to make an appointment to see someone who may be able to put me out of my misery!

I have been with prices Mills since the mid 90's and I have nothing But the highest praise and respect for them all. From The Doctors, to front of house, admin and nursing team i thank you all. I have always been treated with respect and they listen and are supportive. I would be happy to recommend Prices mill to anyone and we are very lucky.

There has been a changeover of doctors at Price's Mill: my last two appointments have been with new practitioners. Just to say on both occasions I was listened to, the discussion was thorough and the doctors were completely focussed on the next steps to improve my health concerns. And as a bonus, I was seen at exactly the time of my appointments. Full marks to Prices Mill surgery at a time general practice his under strain with manpower and funding.

Having had cause to see a doctor recently, I phoned the surgery and was greeted with a friendly and caring receptionist who was what I really needed at the time. My needs were met and I was able to see a doctor within an hour. This has been my experience of Prices Mill on the odd time that I have phoned them. Always polite, friendly and treated as an individual and not as a pain......
