I always feel my health concerns are fully understood and addressed. I was pleased and privileged to benefit from such care when a suspect blemish appeared on my face.

I was given an appointment on the same day as I rang. Appointment on time. Prescription given followed up by a text message promising a further appointment in a few weeks.

  4. Review titled Great practice...if you can get an appointment!

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Sarah - Posted on 13 March 2023

Its become a case of fastest fingers first with getting an appointment at this doctors now. I have severely lost my hearing in one ear and suspect i have an ear infection. However, its impossible to get an opportunity to speak to someone as you now have to go through an online system called patchs, since they've started using this system the ability to log a request is impossible as there's no availability within 1/2 hour of it going online and at 8am in the morning it's not exactly easy to be able to do that if you're a working parent with young children. My child (1yr old) is also suffering the same thing and i can't even get him in to see anyone as there's no option/or availability set aside for the more vulnerable patients. It would be too extreme to take him to A&E, but its not right that he has to suffer because i can't get him an appointment either. As a result I'm now looking at changing doctors with immediate effect. Such a shame because when I've used the surgery previously in the past for him the staff are lovely and really good at their jobs.

  5. Review titled Rude reception staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 January 2023

I'd been suffering with a blocked ear meaning I couldn't hear much for the last week, but not being a local I requested to be seen as a temporary patient. This led to some quite obstructive questions from the receptionist such as 'When do you go home', 'Is the problem that important' etc... After explaining my problem and telling the receptionist when I was due to go home the responses were 'Well that's not very long to wait can you not see your own doctor' and 'Well you're having no problem hearing me now, so it can't be that much of a problem.' accompanied with a lot of eye rolls, huffing and being made to feel my problem was unimportant and I was wasting her time. After being told by the pharmacist that it could be a perforated eardrum and I should urgently see the doctor, I went back. Again talking to the same receptionist she decided to self-diagnose me and say 'It won't be a perforated eardrum, I get ringing and crackling in my ears all the time, it's just normal'. When asked why she was being so rude when I was simply just trying to seek some help, she said 'I'm not being rude just repeating what the doctor has said' (having not gone to see the doctor yet this time round) with no effort to be any nicer. Only then did she speak to the doctor again and came back out and told me 'Stop worrying and see your doctor when you are home'. Now waiting in a long queue in a walk-in centre, for what is likely going to be a perforated eardrum.
