Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 09 April 2024
Excellent Staff and Surgeon. Had a Hernia Repair was put at ease on arrival local anaesthetic used fully awake and was painless was finished in less than 45 minutes. From seeing my GP to surgery less than 6 Weeks. Could have had keyhole surgery under a general anaesthetic but waiting lists are long so best option for me

Review titled Very helpful practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Suzy Game - Posted on 03 August 2023
The receptionist was more than helpful. Dr rang me and offered advice as did the Pharmasist. Both extremely busy people, yet took their time to explain things to me I have always found this practice to be very helpful and first rate. Thankyou all.

Review titled Exemplary treatment.
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Juliet Dyson - Posted on 19 April 2023
From my own experience of the practice, which spans many years, I can honestly say I have always received kindness, courtesy and attention to detail. Sometimes members of staff have gone "above and beyond" in order to sort out some of the problems I seem to incur on occasion. With all the difficulties that the NHS are struggling with at present, I just hope that Probus Surgery is able to carry on giving us the service we have been fortunate enough to receive so far.

Review titled Messed around and let down
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Daniel Jarman - Posted on 13 December 2022
I was promised the surgery would provide pre travel yellow fever vaccine for my 1yo daughter, my wife and myself. Despite following all instructions, chasing and receiving reassurances…. Almost a month later I have been informed “they don’t have capacity” due to an admin error. Perhaps whoever made the error should find a solution rather than lazily letting down a young family who now need to fund private vaccinations if we can find somewhere with capacity at such short notice just before Xmas! Thanks for the great and caring service…

Review titled Cataract assessment team
by venusfn83 - Posted on 14 October 2022
I attended the health center of Falmouth at the cateract assessment team, expecting, foolishly that my op was going ahead there having been referred there by Probus surgery who were unable to do the procedure there due to possible complications. Perhaps it would have been clearer if the letter of referral and subsequent appointed had made it clear that this was assessment only. I am now waiting again for the appointment to have the op done. My fault for not reading the letter properly! However - all the staff at Falmouth cateract assessment team were excellent - proficient, friendly and helpful.

Review titled Prescription service lacked common courtesy.
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 24 August 2022
Attending the prescription window, I am not met with a smile or indeed even common courtesy. I ask for the prescription by name and am asked sharply whether I have seen a doctor and when I say "yes", the member of staff states "well you will have to wait 20 minutes" and turns to walk away when I say "no, I spoke to the doctor yesterday". She goes to get the prescription, returns and says "Address?", which I give and she then slams the prescription into the hatch and walks off. I was tempted to ask if she was having a bad day but was so stunned by the complete lack of courtesy and in any case, she was gone! Some training required or general support for this individual.
