  1. Review titled Hopeless Reception

Rated 1 star out of 5

Having visited the practice and speaking to the practice manager as regards a number of major errors in my son's medical records a telephone call was received from the hospital consultant as regards my son's blood test I was requested by him to contact the surgery to speak to his GP regarding this I rang them and was advised that I could book a call to speak to him at 12 00 This was accepted and I was informed that if there was a queue I was to press option 1 I was number 20 when I rang at 12.00 Surprise surprise when I was called I was informed that all appointments had gone I was advised that I could book an appointment for the following Monday to see or speak to a GP Remember that I had a booked call at 12.00 not a call to arrange an appointment Absolutely shocking I cannot praise the doctors or nurses enough they have always treated my son who has Downs Syndrome caringly and professionly but clearly they are being let down by certain others In the past few days response received from behind the front counter to a request asking if the practice manager was in was I don't know but can you put it in writing or send an email up to her Or in other words I can't be bothered to do it myself On leaving the surgery recently twice have I heard patients remark that the place has 'Gone to the dogs' This is a great shame since the impression given from first point of contact which is extremely important does in my opinion not represent the quality of care afforded by the medical team.

Cannot get appointments unless you can take a day off and even then it's luck, not everyone needs to see a doctor on the day they just need to book for a future appointment but this practice has no ability to pre-book, the receptionist just said "we don't know what the doctors are working" so an hour to get through to hear "no appointments" try tomorrow or at 12!! If you ask to speak to the practice manager they won't let you and ask you to do in writing, you do this and they threaten you with being taken off their list, I have never experienced worse service in any doctors surgery and due to the nature of my job I am in contact with a lot. there should be some per-bookable appointments, they insist on doing reviews etc but you can't book them in advance! Do not touch with a bargepole!

  3. Review titled Fine Practice

Excellent doctors and staff. Telephone service has been improved. Can't always be number one in the queue. My son has Down's Syndrome and has always received excellent care when medical intervention has been required. As his father I know that he has benefited from this. Well done to you all!

  4. Review titled Wonderful practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Unfortunately this year I have had the need to visit this surgery many times, following a bad accident at the beginning of the year. This accident has also resulted in my having other medical conditions, which need treating. I like the idea of being able to phone either early or later in the day to book an appt. (Sometimes I’ve had to wait a while to get thru on the phone but all surgeries are the same these days. You just hv to be patient). When seeing either a GP, nurse practitioner or nurse, I feel I have always been given the best advice/treatment. I cannot praise this surgery enough - give credit where credit is due. So it’s this time of year I would like to say a huge thank you to all those working at Queensview Medical Centre and keep up the great work!
