I called as 111 had advised to contact my GP surgery about my mental health. I stated this to the receptionist who rudely informed me about the way I would need to make an appointment. The receptionist showed no care, was abrupt, impatient and also was more concerned about the fact that I did not know about the new booking system 'Anima' than she was for my health. She stated that the GP surgery has been on Anima for several months and that everyone had been informed. When I asked for the receptionist's name, she asked me 'what does that have to do with getting on Anima', to which I explained that I would like to know who I am speaking with. The receptionist then reluctantly told me her name which has been omitted from this review. That receptionist (and maybe the whole team if she is an accurate reflection of them) needs to clearly undergo some training on how to be a phone operator as she is rude, impatient and unhelpful. Considering that I was calling to get support for my mental health, which many can struggle to do, having such a rude receptionist was very disheartening. Maybe it is good that the GP uses Anima so that I do not need to speak with such people again.

On the morning of the new system going live I had problems navigating the Web Site I got through to general enquires and a very nice lady help me with the form I dont know her but would like to thank her for helping me get an Appointment that morning. Thank you all for always being there Sylvia Potter

The system they have set up to make appointments is horrendously bad. So stressful and complicated everytime I try to be seen. I avoid going to the centre because I don't want to interact with the system they have in place, it's never easy, simple or straight forward Only go when absolutely nessacary because of how bad it is to try and smoothly do something as simple as make an appointment. Once I got to see someone, he was great! He listened to me, genuinely cared about what I was experiencing, and went out of his way to be very helpful to me. Managed to get a great result from my visit.

I can only add positives, for my experience with this practice. I always find the reception pleasant and helpful and the doctors are extremely supportive and approachable. They cannot and should not be blamed for long waiting times, I fully believe this practice does its best to serve the community.
