Poor reception team, there was a long queue of people waiting with 1 receptionist working. The queue watched whilst a form was completed by another patient at reception, thus holding us all up for 30 minutes. This was inefficient and a waste of everyone's time. The receptionist ought to have asked the form-filling patient to step aside and reassured them that their place would not have been lost but there were others waiting in line with their medical queries. This was not done. When challenged with this observation and asked why the practice would not work more effectively the reception reacted with anger - raising her voice. The receptionist then became very defensive / passive aggression just ignoring any request to speed up the service. The form-filling customer reacted aggressively and I felt unsafe. This should have been avoided but was not as the receptionist failed to reassure them. Therefore creating an unsafe environment. I asked to speak to the team leader, who then told me to wait 2 minutes, and did not appear at all. I query whether the reception team is well led and responsive to people's needs. I query whether this is a caring practice based on my observations of the Admin team.

Dear Patient We are sorry to hear your recent experience did not meet your expectations. Since September 2022 we have had a change in management and we hope that you have now seen an improvement. If you do still have concerns please do put them in writing and allow us to investigate so that we can continue to strive to keep all patients well and happy and safe.

I rang to book a Dr's appointment and was well received by the Receptionist who was helpful interested and efficient.
