Review titled Terrible communication

2 months ago I had a BP test through the pharmacy. The results were quite high so I was advised to get straight in touch with my GP. My husband dropped the results off at reception. I was told someone would ring me. Nothing came I rang back 3 days later to be told the same thing. On the 4th day I finally got a call asking what I wanted. I explained about the BP results. They hadn’t even been handed to a health care professional and had been left behind reception. I finally got a call from the GP with the results a month later to be told I required urgent blood tests. I made the appointment, arrived 5 minutes before the appointment time. Booked in at reception and sat down. Others started arriving after me and were called in. 20 minutes after my appointment time I went to reception to ask if I was next due to only nipping out of work. She looked at the screen to tell me I didn’t show up. Then it turned out the receptionist hadn’t booked me in. I had to go back to collect the blood forms so I could take my own blood. They then failed to put a blood bottle in, instead replaced it with a urine bottle. So my husband had to go to the surgery collect the blood bottle come to my work to wait while I took my own blood (bearing in mind I hadn’t even used a syringe before) and then dropped it off. Hopefully it will get to the lab and not left behind reception. It’s also showing results on my GP records from last week for somebody’s urine sample. It’s not mine as I haven’t given one until today.
