    I ran out of my contraceptive patch so was firstly told they don’t take prescriptions over the phone which was fine so I called 111 to which they put in a prescription for me but wanted me to call my doctor to approve it, I called the doctors and was met with a receptionist that told me I shouldn’t call 111 but didn't seem as though she was willing to help me and was unprofessional to the point she told me it was my fault that I had run out of my prescription and that it wasn’t an emergency the way she was speaking in general was very condescending and I was being nothing but nice. I explained to her that if I had been on these for over a year and if I just came off it would have a detrimental effect to my hormones and menstrual cycle. She then proceeded to send me a link to my phone to fill out that was for the combined pill that I am not even on.

    For a slightly nervous lady,the patience and kindness was wonderful. The eye screening dept is very efficient and thorough -and this wasn’t a “one off” as I’ve been many times,and each time has been the same. Thank you to each one of you!

    My experience has been with a nurse practitioner who during my visits has created a relaxed atmosphere resulting in easy communication. She is a good listener who uses her wide knowledge and experience to generate confidence. The result provides a better patient experience and I leave feeling physically and mentally at ease. I do hope the practice will retain her services.

    Last few visits have been for recurring ear infection, with 2 of these visits walking in to seeing “ear infection” googled on the screen. Last week went back as needed medication to help and was clear to them that I’m pregnant and to prescribe something safe. Was prescribed something unsafe for pregnancy despite asking several times and pharmacist did not dispense prescription due to this. Check what is being prescribed as I would have taken this if I hadn’t double checked with pharmacist if it was suitable.

    Realised I had one pill left of my regular medication, put a request in via the online order request form, then phoned the practice to ask them if if they could possibly review the request and issue. Met with a very rude receptionist who talked to me as if I was 10 years old, didn't listen and talked over me. Posted anonymously because I don't want to be targeted. I've encountered rudeness at the practice many times but also have to say there are nice, empathetic and competent receptionists as well. Luck of the draw!
