Was expecting telephone consultation, contacted surgery 3 times and was told I was still on the list for a consultation. On checking app it stated I had missed my consultation and message was left, message was on land line, this wasat 14.30 ,which I never use for consultation, it's always my mobile, as I was not in my home I would never receive consultation .Why was I still told even at 1700 hours I was still on the list for a consultation?

  2. Review titled By phone only

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Sheila Fogg - Posted on 14 July 2024

Missed 2 calls on the mobile phone and one on the house phone that didn't register and no record of it. As for the mobile phone had the phone by my side I can only think that the signal had gone down as it does on many occasions. Resulting in appt missed. I did ring the reception and I asked if the doctor could be sent a message to ring me again while the phone was in my hand unfortunately I didn't get another call. It would be better to have the appt at the surgery to avoid this happening again. My symptoms need to be looked at in person anyway. I have booked another telephone appt but would appreciate a call back to ask me to visit the surgery.

  3. Review titled Amazing surgery

Rated 5 stars out of 5

From the receptionists answering my initial call and directing me with who I need to see or speak to to the doctors appointments face to face or telephone I honestly cannot fault this practice. I am treated as a person and not a number and most importantly I feel heard and listened to. The doctors, nurses and other staff do an amazing job

  4. Review titled Tel appointment

Took 8 failed attempts to get through, told (by text) to expect a call between 10:30 and 12:30 (which puts you on edge not to miss it). I actually got a call at 6:30pm. Also, Dr was not familiar with my treatment (which was approved by another Dr, Diabetes UK (the main charity for Diabetes) and the Government - weight loss injections) he's put me on half the dose I am meant to be on, told me he might have to discontinue my treatment and is now having to go for advice from a Pharmacist. It's left me off worse than when I started and caused a lot of unnecessary worry and upset.

  6. Review titled Given wrong information again and again.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Shelly Bridden - Posted on 24 October 2022

I was contacted by the surgery via text a month after seeing the Gpto refer to physio. I had waited a month prior for the Gp appointment, so now 2 months on altogether. At the Gp appointment I asked the Gp if there was a form to fill in for physio as this had been my experience pre Covid-19. (I was seeing the physio but covid put a stop to it). The Gp said no, the surgery would refer me, nothing for me to fill in. I then got a text message last week on Thursday, informing me to book in with the physio at the surgery. I attended the surgery and the receptionist didn’t know what to do at all. A previous employee who was near the desk at the time told the receptionist how to put an action for the physio to give me a call when they would be in on a Tuesday. I think there’s a training issue here if someone who no longer works for the practice had to advise the receptionist! Today, the following Monday, I received a text message to fill in a self referral for physio. I thought this strange as I was told I would get a call on the Tuesday. I attended the surgery again. I was told the physio on a Tuesday won’t be in for a few weeks. I was given a form and told I could book an appointment online at the web address on the form. This turned out to be wholly incorrect. The form is a self referral form. There was no website to book in, as I was told. It was simply an email address to send the referral form into. So I have filled in the form and handed in at the physio post box. This is something I could have done a month ago when I asked the Gp if there was a form to fill in. This has obviously made my wait even longer than it needed to be. I had experienced problems with the Gp back in July / August when asking for a referral to adult Adhd assessment under the Nhs right to choose. I was told it’s just depression and I’d be waiting 3 years to see someone. The Gp on the phone had never met me and was very dismissive. I asked agin for the assessment under the right to choose and I asked was there a form to fill in to send to psychiatry Uk. As I had seen this on their website. I was told there was no form and would receive something through the post. I then waited a few weeks and phoned the surgery as I heard nothing. It took several weeks for the referral to be completed. However, my request for the right to choose was totally ignored and the referral was sent over to the Adhd team at Claire House. The wait will be around 3 months longer than if I was referred under the right to choose as I had requested. Last year I was in mental health crisis and the Gp would not see me, giving me new extra medication over the telephone and with no follow up ever since. I begged for a face to face appointment at the time. I was just sent a text message to refer myself for counselling. I overall feel that the level of service at the practice has really gone downhill. feel I will be looking to change surgery. Too many barriers to book appt. Not able to phone 8am
