Review titled Great service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 20 March 2025
We came in today for my 10 year old to have a blood test. The nurse was very welcoming and put at ease straight away. She was freindly, professional and efficient. We were in and out quickly. Thanks for a great service!

Review titled Rude & Unempathetic
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by ZJ89 - Posted on 07 March 2025
Have been a patient for approx 3 years and it has only been in the last few months I've unfortunately needed to use my gp due to a sudden issue which included needing a prescription of medication. My medication is reviewed and changed by Salford Royal and it's vital I have it whilst investigations to my condition are still being done. Because of this, my prescription can change week to week. I tried multiple times to speak to the reception about how the process for prescriptions worked as I had never needed to do this before and it was genuinely one of the rudest interactions I've ever had. The receptionist(s) were dismissive, passive aggressive, wouldn't give me a clear answer and when I asked how I would know if my medication had been updated on their system I was told " What do you want me to do, ring you and 1001 patients every day? Do I have the time?" When I replied to say I was just simply asking how it worked she sighed and thought ( 'thought' being the operative word here...) she had put me on mute or covered the speaker but I heard her talk about me to her colleague. I did manage to speak to an actual gp ( six weeks later after receiving a text from Rock Healthcare to say I'd been seen in 2 weeks) who did in all fairness apologise for how I'd been treated and talked me through setting up the nhs app etc I did also ask two different receptionists for the Practice Managers contact details but they said the pm didn't want these details being made available and I'd have to send any complaints via them. For a public service (which the nhs is, despite gp's thinking of themselves as a business) I think that's a really disgusting approach to have. I also work in public service and whether we like it or not we work for the public and the public have the right to contact us when a service they're paying for is not being delivered right. I appreciate there is a stereotype regarding receptionists and I imagine for those who did chose their profession because the care of patients means something to them this must be disheartening but sadly my experience is that those at Rock Healthcare who I've encountered not only sadly fall into this stereotype but almost seem to take some glee from it. I've no doubt the response will be to contact the practice... which will be via the receptionist team ( kind of funny when you think about it!)

To whom it may concern, I am sorry to hear you have had a bad experience when contacting the practice regarding your prescription, this is certainly not the service I expect from my staff. You have confirmed that this was then resolved by the GP who did assist you with your concerns and offered the option for the NHS app to order your medication. I will ensure that I discuss this at the practice meeting with all the staff and confirm this is not an acceptable standard and staff should be supportive and helpful to all our patients advising them of the services we provide. We also have two team leaders at the practice to support our reception team, this is to resolve any concerns so I see no reason why they were not spoken to on the day. I am happy for you to contact me via email if you would like to discuss further. Regards Miss S Smith - Practice Manager s.smith2@nhs.net

Review titled Great paediatric service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 05 October 2024
I have been a few times recently with my daughters and found the staff to be really helpful and friendly. My youngest has had blood taken twice by the nurses here and they’ve been really accommodating and reassuring. She has been made to feel at ease and not had any issues. She even got juice and a biscuit after!!

Thank you for your comment. It is lovely to receive positive feedback. Our Paediatric Blood Nurse has been specially trained to deal with children in what is often a frightening situation for them. I am very happy to hear that you were impressed with our service. I will feed this back to our team.

Review titled Absolutely Useless
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Paul Morrison - Posted on 16 September 2024
Today I arrived at the Radcliffe practice for a 1320 appointment to be told for the 3rd consecutive time the appointment is in Bury. That's 3 appointments gone to waste due to the inability of the receptionist to follow simple instructions. The lady who wears round glasses with ginger hair is absolutely incompetent she is rude and needs to be reminded she is a receptionist not a doctor. Discusing my medical records and the reason for my visit in public is not acceptable which left me embarrassed.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that your appointment was booked at Bury instead of Radcliffe. The Receptionist should advise patients of the location of their appointment. I am sorry this did not happen. I can see that your previous two appointments were booked for Radcliffe. We do ask patients to briefly detail the reason for needing an appointment but this should be done in a confidential matter. This is usually asked over the telephone. You are correct to refuse to divulge this information in public. I am sorry that you were embarrassed.

Review titled Terrible service

Booking an appointment is like mission impossible especially if you have a child they will not book routine appointments for children so you have to call 8am or go to the surgery and wait for appointments You can book an appointment and be waiting over an hour this has happened on multiple occasions whey I have been rejected being seen for being 8miniutes late. The doctors don’t both to read notes so every appointment is basically a new appointment Today which has left me to rite these reviews is because I can me to an appointment at 10.30am wasn’t seen till 11.25pm then told I had to wait till 11.45am to see my other daughter the service is disgusting!

Thank you for your feedback. The Practice offers both urgent and routine appointments, which are open to all patients. We see all patients under 12 years of age, with an acute problem, on the day. I am sorry that you had to wait to see the Doctor. Our Doctors are sometimes delayed due to emergency situations, such as having to refer patients to the hospital or assisting the Practice Nurse with an acutely unwell patient. It is good practice to keep patients updated with any service delays. I am sorry if this was not the case on that day.

Review titled Friendly Receptionist
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 10 July 2024
I went into Radcliffe yesterday morning (9th July) with what felt like an endless list of issues but the receptionist at the desk was so so friendly and had so much time to help me! I never usually do reviews on things but this really needs recognising. She was so helpful, she knew exactly what I needed and was very informative. She really seemed to care and went above to help me. I’ve really struggled the last few months with health issues and it’s staff like this who make everything so much easier. An absolutely credit to the practice I didnt get her name but she was brilliant.

Hi, Thank you for your feedback on the website, all telephone appointments are not at specific times. We do try our best to call as near to the time as possible however the practice may have an emergency causing the clinician to run behind. Our reception staff should inform the patient of this when they make the original booking. Unfortunately as you have added this a anonymous I can not check your details on the system or the appointment book. Kindly contact the practice and speak to our reception team. Regards Miss S Smith Practice Manager
