Review titled Fantastic Dr
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by A grateful parent - Posted on 26 July 2024
My son has been diagnosed with autism and really struggles attending the Dr's. We had to take him for a longstanding health problem and our son was really distressed. The Dr was amazing. Our son began screaming as son as the Dr came into the waiting room, and the Dr immediately got down to our sons level and was extremely comforting. Our son really didn't want to go into the room so the Dr was extremely reassuring and practically turned into a Cbeebies character and followed our sons lead in personal space. Usually we have to restrain our son to have any medical intervention, he wont even let professionals weigh him or take his height etc. But, this Dr managed (with his fantastic communication skills) connected to our son, capturing his attention, making him feel safe etc...He even managed to get our son to hold the equipment and albeit briefly allow the Dr to do some observations without restraint. Our son even gave the Dr a high 5 and took stickers off him, which again is something he has never done in appointments before. As parents we are so grateful to the Dr for his approach!!! Thank you!!!

Review titled Lack of care
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 12 October 2023
Had a stomach problem for over 3 months before seeking help, as it got very painful when I was moving, and cannot sit up, and have a small lump in my groin. I work abroad so wanted it to be checked out. Was told a hernia is not an emergency so a doctor will not see me for 2 weeks and to wear tight underwear to support it until I got back from my 5 week trip. If I didn't like it go to A&E doctor at jph 6 hours of waiting room later, the jph gp suggested I get a scan (what I wanted in first instance) and referred me back to the Rosedale GP, to get a scan. Who then, gave me a message to arrange a urine and blood sample, to make sure it is necessary to get a scan. I am no proffesional, but I am sure blood and urine test doesn't check for hernias. To note, if I have time off work I don't get paid i also train at an athletic level so the last thing I want is to see a doctor or be anywhere near a hospital for a sick note. I do not rate this surgery in level of care or interest in a patients needs, so will be changing when I can.

ive had nothing but a bad headache when dealing with the receptionists when trying to order my fathers prescriptions,im always told they will be ready for the end of the day only for them not to be ready the next day when i go to collect them, when they are there important items are missing and have not been put through,my father needs his medication as he is extremely poorly, this has happened more than once and seems to be a regular occurrance.

Review titled Nowhere to leave feedback and messages
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 07 February 2023
I wanted to do 2 things- register a comment with the practice manager and reply to some information/ advice given by medical staff but was unable to do either online. There is no mechanism on the practice website to leave feedback or raise concerns. I can usually send requests/ messages about symptoms & treatments via the Consulting Room option but wasn't able to do so as there were no appointments available. I didn't need an appointment or same-day response. Why can't routine responses to questions just be sent to the practice? Really unhelpful, especially as it's often hard to get theough on the phone

Dear Sir/Madam, We are asking our website software provider to find a solution to this problem, at present when the demand is too high we have to revert to a GP triaging each request by telephone to ensure safety (ie online requests not being actioned promptly if there is a patient emergency), when we do this the current system stops all forms. We hope to resolve this asap. If you wish to contact me for a non clinical matter please use my email lisa.andrews2@nhs.net - we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience
