  1. Review titled Terrible Practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

My daughter rang the surgery on 21/02/2024 and asked for an appointment for the whooping cough vaccination as she was 20 weeks preganant, she was told that there were not any appointments but the receptionist said she could go to St Peters, he asked her to hold on and when he returned he said an appointment was available on Saturday 25/05/2024. My daughter works 12hr nights from 9pm to 9.30 am but she was more than willing to take the appointment so it was booked. On Saturday morning she tried to catch a couple of hours sleep before the appointment only to be called by St Peters at 10.40am to be told that the appointment was cancelled as St Peters do not do vaccinations on weekends or out of hours, I was really cross especially as she keeps being told to go to her GP as they have a duty of care. There is not any duty of care at this surgery.

  2. Review titled Poor service

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I was informed that I need appointments for B12 injections. The receptionist told me on Monday 13th May that I would receive a call on 15th May to provide me with the dates. No call was received. I visited on the same day only to be told by the receptionist that no appointments with the nurse were available and I had to wait for a cancellation. I was informed that I would receive a call on 17th May or 20th May. Again no call received. I contacted again and was told nurse wasn't in work and next time she was in would be 23rd May but receptionist was off that day so I have to ring in and liaise with nurse myself. This is very poor service for appointments and not calling patients when promised is just rude.

  3. Review titled Poor feedback

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Having had blood tests for low B12 following a previous low test result and advice to take multivitamins, I rang to obtain new results. I was both shocked and disappointed to be told by a receptionist that my levels had increased slightly and were in the normal range and she advised no further tests required and I should keep taking multivitamins. Since when was it a Receptionist role to give medical advice, I would have expected a call from a qualified GP. I'm now raking b12 tablets but no idea if this is correct.

Even though the nhs is under a lot of strain at the moment, the staff at this practice are always helpful and go the extra mile. Best thing I ever did was change to this surgery
