  1. Review titled Terrible reception/admin attitude.

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Tim - Posted on 19 February 2025

2 incidents in the last few days. 1. I requested a repeat prescription using their online facility. This is usually processed quite quickly. 8 days later I had heard nothing from the doctor or the pharmacy, so I repeated the request but added a note that this was a second request as I didn't want to end up with 2 prescriptions and did not know if the first was still being processed. Shortly afterwards I got a snotty text saying that it can take up to 48 hours to process a request and implying I was being unreasonably impatient. As the text was from a number it was impossible to reply to I couldn't be bothered to find some alternative way to point out that 8 days is a lot more than 2. 2. I needed two minor tests to be done, but they had to be done by 2 different people for some reason. So I arranged to have them done on the first day when both people were available to save me having to visit the surgery twice. I asked for the date/time to be texted to me to avoid any chance of me getting them wrong. I shortly afterwards received a text confirming I needed to attend at 9.24 am. The day before the appointment I got another text reconfirming the time of 9.24am. On the day I arrived about 9.20 and checked in, but the nurse was running about 12 mins late ... no problem I eventually was called and had some blood taken. I then went to reception to double check and advise I was ready for my second appointment. I was advised that I had missed it because it was at 9 o'clock, in a tone that suggested I was some irresponsible waster and this was entirely my fault. I pointed out I had a text message, which I offered to show, that said 9.24. This was of no interest to the receptionist who continued to suggest that it was all my fault for missing the 9am appointment. She checked if the nurse could see me later if I waited but refused to give any clue whatsoever as to how long I may have to wait, minutes? hours? days? When I queried why she seemed to think this situation was my fault she merely replied "I'm not going to argue about it". Just as well seeing as she didn't have a leg to stand on! She appeared over worked and possibly stressed so maybe she needs more help but her equivalent of a doctor's bedside manner was appalling.

  2. Review titled Excellent Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I’ve always had good experiences with Roselawn Surgery..I feel as though they actually care about their patients..I’ve always been treated very well from the lovely reception team, who always do their best to fit me in for a phone appointment or a face to face appointment..through to the lovely doctor’s and nurses.. I particularly want to mention the phlebotomist nurse..I’m quite a nervous patient and she always puts me at ease, whenever I need to have a blood test..I have a problem with my veins deciding to ‘hide’! It’s happened to me many times, at the hospital..resulting in a consultant having to be called, to try and take blood from me.. But she always manages to take my blood with no problems whatsoever..you would think that having a blood test done at the hospital, would be straightforward..but for me, I’d prefer her to do it every time! Thank you.

  3. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I saw a Doctor today, whom I had not met before, about a delicate matter and he was extremely gentle, helpful and informative. I felt reassured and safe in his care. I left with a treatment plan and backup options. I was very satisfied.

  4. Review titled Great service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Stephanie Lambeth - Posted on 30 August 2023

I waited a few minutes to get through but I was constantly told my position in the queue whilst waiting. The receptionist asked about symptoms and said she’d get the GP to call me that day between 230-4pm. The Gap rang at 235pm and was very helpful, knowledgeable and took my concerns about the symptoms very seriously. She immediately referred me for an in-house physio appt after making her diagnosis. I got back in touch with the GP’s receptionist and got an appt just 3 days later! Unbelievable service. Not been for the physio appt yet but I had to write in and thank the surgery for such amazing service. I’m sure they need the boost!

  5. Review titled Superb practice.

All aspects of care discussed, after contacting a G.P. the Pharmacist returned my call within a short period of time. I do not believe there is a better surgery in London.
